Hopefully we collect enough funds to be able to give one to everyone. Also to help more families we are going to make them $50 instead of $75. Thanks everyone.

We have been Gifted $1200 worth of Gift Certificates from Cermak Produce - North Ave to help our Neighbors in need with Groceries for their Holiday Meals. Steve and his Crew are a true asset to the West Town area.

West Town Feeds is trying to quickly (by the end of this week) collect as many items as we can to put into hygiene kits for the homeless we are feeding for Thanksgiving. If you have a surplus of travel size bottles of soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, lotion, razors, shaving cream, deodorant or feminine products, please send us a message or comment below. Trying to source as much as we can via product donation before we order any additional items we may need. We need to make at least 500 kits to ensure everyone who is receiving a meal, is also receiving a hygiene kit!

We’re excited to be able to be a part of this great event on Saturday. If you’d like to help contribute to the event details are on the flyer.

This is the why.

Smiles are for Free the community project of The Grief Compass is partnering with Westtown Feeds to give backpacks and supplies to 300 kids this Saturday at Haas Park. The event will also feature free food, an ice cream truck, and live music.

Smiles is inspired by Sofia, a 9 year old Logan Square little girl who died in 2010. Haas Park features a small garden for Sofia with plans to expand to an even larger space of peace and healing for the community. With this event and others including an annual Remembrance Ceremony, we are reminded that no one escapes the impacts of loss and the healing power of community, kindness and smiles.

Ever wondered how much food it takes to feed 3200 people? We’ll take a look at this and multiply it by 2. 🙂Just a coup...
