I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks to Ben and Kelly Gayout, who have been instrumental in our success distributing PPE. They've donated countless hours of their time, use of their equipment, and even their own money. If you are in Wilmington, please say thanks by stopping by their restaurant and ordering some of their awesome sweet or savory crepes!

We’ve been busy making more PPE, delivered some shields and ear savers to different local pediatric medical professionals and sending some all the way to Vegas today. Thank you again for all the donations and spreading the word. If you know of anyone in need of PPE please send them our way and we’ll be happy to donate to them.

Good afternoon! Just wanted to catch everyone up on what's going on. We've finally got production up to nearly full speed, thanks to lots of help from some local designers and makers!

(FYI: people who make stuff with 3D printers commonly refer to each other as "makers".)

We are now to the point that we are keeping up with individual local medical personnel requests! We have an order of 150 shields that we are currently filling for a local home health group, and we have been contacted by a larger area center with a possible bulk request.

We now have the following available:

1. Face shields and replacement shields- we changed our design to allow people to replace their own shields and even make "field expedient" versions by punching the shield material with a 3 hole punch. These still come in a kit including 3 shields and 3 headbands.

2. Earloop mask extenders- due to several requests, we have started printing these mask extenders for local healthcare folks, as the requirements to regularly wear masks are causing pressure and even skin breakdown around their ears. We have a regular and small version available, and I believe one of our local RN's is also printing them. Please let us know if you need any!

3. Snorkel mask adapters- we still have viral filter adapters for the most common types of full face snorkel masks, allowing people to use them as respirators. We have also added adapters for the Aria brand snorkel masks as well and are giving them away free of charge. We feel very strongly that you shouldn't have to pay for something like that.

4. Finally, we are really excited to announce that, thanks to a local engineer, Jeff Boaz, we've successfully made an emergency use respirator that uses HEPA filter media! This is designed to be used in place of an N95 mask, (in an emergency) if appropriate respirators are not available. This is huge, as supplies of these are limited all over the world. The design allows for individual custom fitting and multiple reuse cycles. You just sanitize the mask, replace the filter media, and reuse or replace the head straps, which we have designed to work with IV tourniquets! These do take longer to print, so we are working with individuals to figure out who needs these most acutely. If you do need one, please contact us.

I'm also attaching pictures of our in-house PPE models! :)

A little update.
First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who has shared our posts to help spread the word and for all the donations. Southern Signs donated PETG plastic for us to make more shields over the weekend, we have had locals bring us rolls of vinyl, and we just got a huge roll delivered today so we will be able to make and donate at least 1000 shields for our amazing health care workers. Here are a few pictures of our at home work station, we have a nice little set up going in the living room that lets us work on the shields and cloth masks while still keeping an eye on the kiddos!
We have already delivered close to 50 face shields and mask adapters to local hospitals and we even had some go all the way to Miami!
We are so happy to be able to help those putting their lives at risk and thankful for all the help and support we have gotten. Please keep sharing our link and spreading the word so that those in need of PPE can also reach out to us!
Email us at [email protected] if you’re a health care worker in need of PPE
