What a pretty pattern! This one is knit with DK weight yarn held double and seems to be working up fast. Such a pretty and easy to follow pattern. I don’t love the P2tog tbl stitches but they’re not too frequent.

I’m all set up to knit a temperature blanket for 2022! I’ve never done one, but I’m intrigued for sure. The ones I’m seeing lately are so pretty and fun! Have you ever knit one? Would love to check your finished projects out!

I cast on 260 stitches - I’ve seen a lot fewer but I don’t want a 3 foot wide 10 foot long blanket lol, so I think 260 comes to approximately 5 foot wide. I’ll be doing 2 rows a day in the color on my chart that correlates with the high for each day. I think I’m going to alternate 6 rows in garter and 6 rows in stockinette to have sort of “stripes” of texture. We shall see 😬

Aaaah! I played yarn chicken and lost. And now I cannot find this yarn anywhere. So that’s fun.

These fingerless mitts are from and this pattern is Fantastic Beasts themed. These are the in ’s in the colorway black cherry which must be discontinued sadly 😬 so now the question is - do I frog and make something else, or keep them and hope to find more somewhere. Bu**er.

is the only way to knit mittens or socks IMO. Otherwise I get the itch to start a new project after only one mitten, and it just sits there, without a mate, mateless and alone, forever. I know I’m not alone in this!

On another note, this book is awesome. You can design your own mittens and choose the cuff you want, the thumb gusset, and the mitten top and sort of create your own pattern. So fun! I’ll be doing a set of my own creation next.

Cozy day of cooking, movie watching and knitting. These fingerless mitts are going to be gorgeous, but this pattern is a bit of a beast! Which is actually not so strange since the pattern is named for the Norwegian ridgeback dragon from Harry Potter. But K4tog through the front AND back?! Ridiculous. Turns out pretty, but things are a bit sweary over here 😂

However, two at a time magic loop is the only way to knit mittens, amiright?
