🗡️ The Battle of the Trench (Ghazwat al-Khandaq) lasted 27 long 😮 difficult days in the Medina.

🗡️ Arab and Jewish tribes united to fight against the Muslims, creating an army of 10,000, with 600 hundred horses. The Muslim military at that time was 3000 strong.

🗡️ As the companions gathered around the Prophet (peace be upon him) to strategize, a suggestion was made by Salman al Farsi. He explained how they would dig a trench in Persia.

🗡️ This is what gave the battle its name. So, the Muslim army dug a large trench around most of the city of Medina and guarded it all day and night.

🗡️ The opposing army tried to cross the trench, but each time they were unsuccessful. Over time the 10,00 men wore down, and slowly tribes started to leave the battlefield.

🗡️ Though this was a long and tiring battle, the Muslim casualties were minimal, and the Muslims were victorious.

Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤 ((Qubbah al-sakhrah) 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝟕𝟐 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐣𝐫𝐚. It is one of the first Islamic buildings ever constructed. 🥰

The Dome of the Rock is 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝, situated atop the Temple Mount. It is within the al-Haram al-Sharif or Noble Sanctuary of Al Aqsa Mosque (Qibali Masjid).

Al Aqsa is the mosque where Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) ascended to heaven from. It is located a few hundred yards from the Dome of the Rock.

6. 𝐖𝐮𝐝𝐮’ 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐥:
It was narrated that ‘Aishah may Allah be please with her narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ)

Performed Ghusl from janabah he would start by washing his hands, then he would perform wudu’ as for prayer, then he would dip his fingers in the water, then run them through his hair, then he would pour water over his head three times, then he would pour water over his entire body.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do the prostration properly and do not put your forearms flat with elbows touching the ground like a dog. -(Sahih al-Bukhari 532)

A strong personal connection is one of the keys to success when taking Arabic tutoring lessons. 🤩

The Hijri calendar is based on the lunar calendar, consisting of 12 months. Among these twelve months, four of them are sacred: Dhul Qai’da, Dhul Hijjah, Muharram (three in a row), and Rajab.

🌙 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐡, 𝐓𝐚𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐥, 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐫, 𝐓𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐝! Recite a great deal of tahleel (la illah illAllah), takbeer (Allahu Akbar), and tahmeed (Alhumdulilah).

🌙 𝐃𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐫! "Remember Allah during the well-known days." [Surah Baqarah]

🌙 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭! "The worship of one night during this period is equal to the worship in Laylatul-Qadr.

🌙 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬! "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these."

🌙 𝐃𝐮𝐚𝐚! "The best of duaa is on the Day of Arafah." [Tirmidhi]

Dhul Hijjah 1443❤😊

Abu Hurairah relates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

"There are no days more loved to Allah for you to worship Him therein than the ten days of Dhul Hijja.
Fasting any day during it is equivalent to fasting one year and to offer salatul tahajjud (late-night prayer) during one of its nights is like performing the late-night prayer on the night of power. [ Lailatul Qadr]." [This is related by at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and al-Baihaqi]

Fasting... is one of the best deeds...
It is sunnah for the Muslims to fast on the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah. 😇

Oh Allah, please accept all of our prayers, fasting, and remembrance of You during these days.

Some archers thought the Prophet’s command (peace be upon him) meant they should not leave during battle, but they thought the battle was over, and 40 men left their position. When the disbelievers saw this, they attacked from the other side, causing the Muslims to retreat.

Narrated Abu Omamah (RA): that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was asked, O Messenger of Allah, which supplication is heard (by Allah (SWT), he said 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭 (prayer) [at-Tirmidhi].
This time is after saying 'At-tahyat' , and before making Tasleem (finishing prayer)
