Hey subscribers!! I sent you guys an e-mail this morning. If you're not a good e-mail checker *cough cough LIKE ME cough cough* please go check it today!
The majority of our customers are from SOLA, but if you aren’t, here’s the monster category 5 hurricane that plummeted our town yesterday for over 10 hours. My family is safely evacuated, but we have no idea the state of our home. We are delaying the preorder/shipping of September bins for the time being because I have no idea when we will be able to get back into our home (or if we will even have a home to go to). I’m praying for all of the other families impacted by this hurricane. 💛💛💛
During July, we hosted about 12 little girls (give or take a few each week) for a mostly outdoor play date. Each week we worked on an art project and then just let them play and eat popsicles 🤣
I initially did it to help my girly grow in her friendships with other girls her age, but it became one of my favorite days of the week. I loved chatting with the other mamas who were all in similar seasons of life as me. Even though our Tuesday play dates are over (hello Pre-k!!), the memories and friendships made this summer will last a lifetime!
For our final craft (outside of our back to school party crafts next weekend), the girls all painted a pair of shoes their favorite color and then left them here for me to add the black lines to make them into crayon shoes. It’s the sweetest thing to think of the sweet girls (who span over 5 different schools) all wearing their little crayon shoes and remembering all of their sweet little “sole” sisters ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
If you want to make crayon shoes, they’re SOOOO easy! Just buy the cheap canvas shoes from Walmart (less than $6) and cover the bottoms with painters tape. Paint the shoes and let them dry. When they dry, use a black sharpie to add the squiggly lines. And finally, give it a little covering of mod podge!
My girl is starting school in ONE week from today, but I know that so many kids started today. Here’s a picture of her first day of school shoes. Show me some pics of your babies all ready for their first day 😍😍😍
Happy first day of school to the local teachers!! One of my FAVORITE things to do at the beginning of the school year is give the teachers of my kids some “homework.” This gives me a little insight into their favorites (and special days like their birthday) so that when I can bless them, I know exactly how to do it. 🙂 Teachers appreciate EVERYTHING, but if I’m going to spend money on them, I want to make sure it’s not something that they don’t even eat/drink/like. 🙂 This helps me to be a good steward of my money and to be a specific blessing to those who bless my babies every single day! I have been having this particular teacher questionnaire saved for years (since my big girl was a tiny baby), but you could easily search “Teacher Questionnaire” and find one with the specific questions you’d like to ask. I always put it in a cute envelope with “please return in _______’s folder” written on the front.
I'm opening up our Alphabet Soup Preorder today!! If you are interested in ordering our alphabet soup bin (delivery is by August 20th), please fill out the form below:
https://forms.gle/smar5Jpvq4kfytS96
What's in it: A *brand new* filler, toys & tools to support learning and play, a fun project, and a brand new book (it's a good one)!
How much is it: $35 for delivery or pick up and $40 if you want your bin shipped
Who is it for: Bins are geared toward kids 3 and up. Most of the tools and toys are not safe for children who still put things in their mouth.
This is a GREAT bin for your little ones who are about to have their big siblings go off to school, those kiddos who are just needing a little extra support with learning, kids who love to play/imagine, or a classroom full of kids who love to "cook" soup!
I'm going to leave our subscription option open throughout the week with our individual bins because I had a few people ask me about subscriptions who haven't filled out the form yet. If you want to commit to 6 months and pay only $30 a month, please fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/MUBK97suBpmZwEhj9
When I was a teacher, I LOVED decorating my classroom. I’d love to see some of YOUR classrooms in the comments! I’ll share a few more pics of my old classrooms if I can find some, too. 💛💛💛
Just a few more days!!! This subscription season is going to be soooo fun!!!
Subscribing is the best way to get the most bang for your buck. It’s essentially getting a free bin in the 6 month period because it’s $30 cheaper than ordering monthly 😍😍😍
You don’t have to pay all at once to be a subscriber either! You can be billed monthly. Subscribers are such a blessing to this business! If you want to subscribe, sign up today! 😍😍😍
My big girl is starting pre-k this year. Surely, I just blinked and gave birth to her 5 minutes ago, right?! 😭 I’m making her a special back to school gift to open up the night before school starts. I had to get baby bro some pajamas, too…. Even though he’s staying home with mama for another year!
What grade are your kids going to? Are they excited? Are any of my other first time school moms silently losing it on the inside thinking about not being with your babies 24/7? 😭😭😭😭
Hurrying up to sign up for subscriptions like...
😜😜😜
Don't miss your chance! https://forms.gle/DCb6yehYSttSRszF6
SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE OPEN NOW!!
WHAT IS INSIDE: Each bin includes a filler, themed tools and toys to promote play and imagination, a book, and an art or STEM activity to extend learning.
HOW TO GET YOUR BIN- This semester, we are offering delivery from thibodaux to Golden meadow, a Houma or larose pick up location, or the option of having your bins shipped for a flat rate of $5 a month.
TEACHERS- If you are a teacher ordering bins for your classroom, please let me know during the sign up process. 💛
WHEN TO SIGN UP- Subscriptions close July 31. I will open the monthly option for alphabet soup tomorrow.
PAYMENT- Subscribers can choose to pay in full this month or be billed monthly 🙂 Payments monthly are due by the 1st. Subscriptions are $30 a month (with the exception of November bins which are $20 each) for pick up or delivery and $35 a month ($25 in November) for shipped bins.
BENEFITS OF SUBSCRIBING- Subscriptions are $5 off of the full price each month which pretty much almost equals a free bin ($5 off for 6 months = $30 off). Subscribers also don’t have to sign up each month. There will ALWAYS be a bin for subscribers 💛 In November, subscribers get first choice of mini bins. Last year, we sold out of several options. This year, I’m taking even less because we will be going to Disney around then. Subscribers will always get first choice 🙂
WHERE TO SIGN UP:
https://forms.gle/tDhUa2weTtZS8LM76
This just goes along with my post from last week with the new board games. Are you the kind of mama who lets her kids win OR do you play your best?
I play my heart out and try my best to win every single time 🤣🤣🤣
Our final subscription season of the year opens tomorrow 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I’m so excited about this one because my big girl will be in school so I will have more time to plan, prepare, and execute each bin.
Bins will be delivered each month by the middle of the month with the exception of August which will be delivered by the 20th due to opening subscriptions a little later than planned (thanks a lot stomach virus 🥴🤣).
Subscribers will be charged $30 each month for their bins. Shipped subscriber bins will be $35. Subscribers have the option of paying all at once or monthly. If you choose to order monthly instead, bins will be $35 or $40 if it is shipped. All bins will include one book, filler, toys, an art or stem activity, and tools to promote education, imaginative play, and learning! Bins are geared toward kids 3-9. If your child is under 3, I do not suggest bins at all if they are still putting things in their mouth. Nothing in the bins is edible and there could be choking hazards for children under 3.
Sensory play is important for kids because besides stretching their imagination, it encourages tactile play, transferring skills, fine motor skills, language skills, and a large variety of other science and math skills. Besides - it’s just fun to have something dropped on your doorstep each month!
If you have any questions, please drop them below!! And if you want a tag when the subscriptions are dropped tomorrow, let me know! Subscription sign ups will be open for one week! I will also open our Alphabet Soup monthly bin tomorrow 🙂
Thanks for your interest in the bins. All bins are SOLD OUT!!! 💛💛💛
I have info coming about our final subscription season of the year this afternoon (AND ITS SOOOO GOOD!!!), but for now- here are some extra bins that I found while cleaning out my bin space today. I’m selling them all for $20 for local pick up or $25 delivery to anywhere between houma/thibodaux to Golden Meadow. I also will ship for $30.
Here’s what I have:
6 mermaid bins (painted noodle filler)
2 construction bins (bean filler)
2 birthday bins (bean filler)
Let me know if you’re interested! Pick up could be this weekend and delivery would be this weekend/next week 🙂
My little guy woke up at 6AM today, so I broke out an OG dinosaur bin (from May 2020) for my little dude, and he’s having his BEST DAY EVER!! Mama gets a little more (eyes open lol) rest while he plays. I LOVE hearing him play. Here are some of the things he’s saying:
“Who is this Dino? Oh! It’s anklyosaurus! The other dinos better watch out for his tail!”
“This triceratops matches the one on my blank is (bandana).”
“Oh no! My egg is cracking! Who is inside?? It’s….BRACHIOSAURUS!!”
“Dinos run for cover! T-Rex is gonna eat ya!!”
“This Dino looks like a plant eater. I’m gonna let him eat these trees with his long neck.”
“Where’d velociraptor go? Where did he go? VELOCIRAPTOR!! Where are you? Oh! You’re hiding behind this cup. Silly little guy.”
“What are these beads for?”
Me: “I’m not sure. What do you think they’re for?”
“Maybe they’re a snack for the plant eaters like an apple!”
🤣🤣
One of my favorite things about sensory bins is allowing my kids to explore them and hear their little vocabulary grow and their imaginations soar as they play. 💛💛💛
If you’re my personal fb friend, you know that my kids have been on a HUGE game kick lately. They wake up in the morning asking to play games and beg for another game before bed. I thought I’d share our top 5 favorites here with links. These aren’t affiliate links. I’m just sharing because I LOVE games, but I hate spending money on games that end up being awful 🤷🏻♀️ Jusf a reminder - my kids are 2.5 (Manny) and 4 (Ellie). 🙂
1. Ellie & Dad’s favorite: Monopoly Junior Board Game https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EDBY7X8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5M9WTZ9BBJ09NZXQJH7K We bought a second version for our camper because she never wants to be without it. 🤣 She would play this from sun up to sun down. She completely understands the game and plays independently. Manny loves to play this one for a short period of time. He can count his spaces, count the money (it never is higher than 10), and put his picture on his properties but he gets bored easily.
2. Manny’s favorite game: Educational Insights Raccoon Rumpus Game, Dice Rolling Color Matching Preschool Game, Ages 3+ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ATWSQR8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_DZC88QDYM6769G989DA2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Manny asks for this game all day. I’m about to buy a version for our camper. LOL The kids can both play this independently. They actually play without us often during their independent play time. They can set it up, play, and clean it without any help. It focuses on color recognition and being a good sport. Rolling an underwear means that your raccoon loses all of his costumes. It’s so funny!
3. Mom/Ellie favorite - Frozen 2 Top Trumps Match Board Game, Multi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082DCTWZJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_92XX56XN3PY1GV0YS9CM?psc=1 This is a super cool strategic game. Manny can’t play this one at all, but Elle really loves it. She doesn’t understand all of the strategy behind it, but she is slowly getting there. It’s basically matching 5 in a row but the person on the opposite side is also trying to make 5 in a row so you’re racing them and also pushing their blocks. I think that this will only be more fun as she gets older! We own the princess version 🙂
4. Family Favorite - SEQUENCE for Kids -- The 'No Reading Required' Strategy Game by Jax https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0072ZN4EA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2YBH3JHAS4BMSMN17358 Everyone plays this, but not everyone understands the strategy. Ellie is getting much better, though. She is starting to strategize. Manny is not even close but loves matching animals 🤣
5. Family Favorite - Educational Insights The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game for Preschoolers & Toddlers, Color Recognition, Fine Motor Skills, Ages 3+ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00486ZVC4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CEGF3SDK6Q0WVGTWW8KY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 This is fun for the whole family! Counting, color recognition, fine motor skills!! It’s the whole package!! Our kids play this independently 🙂 AND it’s on super sale today!!! 😍😍😍
Do you own any of these games? What’s your family favorite game?
Hey Thibodaux! We are BUBBLING over with excitement to get your bins to you today. The rain made us make a quick pit stop, but we plan to wrap up after lunch! Tomorrow is Houma’s turn and on Sunday we will finish our DTB bins 😍😍😍
Last night I hosted an “all about me” art class for my big girl and her buddies. We did marble art on a piece of car stock and then I let them color a portrait that I had printed in black in white. Finally, we glued the pictures on the paper and added some fun accessories like jewels, buttons, and washi tape!
I LOVE seeing how each of them interpreted this project and made it their own. 💛💛💛
Happy Fourth of July!!
Our summer has proven to be the busiest months of our year, so we have been spending more time running around than doing projects, but I took advantage of this rainy day to do one of my favorite projects - patriotic style!
I poured milk into a cake Pan and then let the kids put red and blue food coloring drops all over the milk. Then, I cut stars out of cotton rounds and placed a drop of dish soap on the back of each one. As the kids dropped the stars into the milk, the colors FLEW across the pan! It was so fun and exciting for my two!
Are you doing any fun America themed crafts or projects today? We might do toilet paper fireworks later (or we might continue to snuggle in our pajamas and watch Disney movies all day). 🤷🏻♀️🤣
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
How do you create a super cool & fun space themed sensory bin?
YOU PLANET!!!
If you want one of our ten extra bins this month - RUN!!!!
https://forms.gle/wcgjAQEVyViR2ZQy8
This month's bin includes a gorgeous black/navy/dark purple rice filler, some fun toys and tool that will extend your child's play, an incredibly fun thematic art project, and one of the coolest space books I've ever seen!! This is a CANNOT MISS kind of bin!!
July’s bins are OUT OF THIS WORLD, and you don’t want to miss them!!!
Subscribers- this is your last month! I will be selling our 10 extras here tomorrow! 😍😍😍
If you want a tag when they drop, let me know!
These bins will be delivered next week! 🪐☄️🔭🛸👽🛰🚀👩🏼🚀🧑🏾🚀
I'm working hard to be more present on this page in the upcoming months. The end of the school year kept us CRAZY busy, and as we jump into our last summer before my big girl starts school (AGHHH) - I'm working hard to MAKE IT COUNT!!
So, I have a question for you guys..
What do y'all want to see on here? Do y'all like when I share crafts that we do without instructions (just pics)? Do y'all want detailed instructions? Do y'all prefer sensory projects only? Would y'all like just mom hacks? Playroom organization ideas? Do y'all need more big kid ideas? Or game ideas? Help me help YOU! I'd love to make the content on this page relevant and exciting for everyone!
No monkeying around - we are working hard on getting all jungle bins in your hands!! I was hoping to have them all delivered today, but a few issues are pushing us back a couple of days. I’m going to have to finish delivering over the next 2-3 days. By Wednesday, everyone should have bins in hand! 💛 I apologize for the slight delay. 💛💛💛
One of my favorite parts of creating bins each month is carefully choosing a book that is perfect for the bin. This month, I found this incredible pack of books that are an amazing introduction to non-fiction for little ones. My kids have loved reading each of the books and deciding which kind of animal nose/hair/eyes/etc we would love to have most. Each bin will get a different “What If You Had an Animal ______” book. I’m starting deliveries tomorrow, and they’ll all be done by Saturday. ❤️ Shipped bins will go out by Friday at the latest (but I’m shooting for tomorrow). I have a couple of extra jungle themed bins. If you want one, let me know ($30 delivered or $35 shipped)! ❤️❤️❤️
Home of the free because of the BRAVE!! We took some time today to honor the soldiers who never came home by creating this project and praying for the families of each of the soldiers who never returned home. I explained to Ellie that while we didn’t see anything special at the beginning of the project, the white was working hard behind the scenes to make sure that the final project was perfect. That’s what soldiers do - we don’t always see their hard work but our lives wouldn’t be the same without them fighting for our freedom. ❤️💙🤍
I couldn’t fit the words on a flag that was done with the correct number of stripes, but I did show my big girl a real flag and we compared the number of stripes. ❤️
This project was done with OOLY oil pastels and liquid watercolor, but it could easily be recreated with a white crayon and traditional watercolors. I made the lines first and wrote the words/stars, and then I helped my girl to know exactly where to paint which colors ❤️
Jungle preorder is officially OPEN!!! It’s going to be such a fun one! I’m going to leave it open through the weekend and close it Sunday or Monday. Payment will be due within 24 hours of invoices being sent. I’m delivering next week! 💛 🐊🐅🦣🦧🦍🦓🐆🐘🦛🦏🦘🦒
To order, fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/XnrnuuNTGtD2KotV9
We have 10 spots open this month, and they’ll be in your hands within a week! 😍
This bin has a bean/rock/water bead filler. It’s geared toward kids 3 and older. Each bin includes a filler, colorful jungle animals, a super fun art project 🐍), a book, and various toys and tools to enhance play! You’ll have to have a bin at home (a small shoebox bin is the perfect size) to pour the materials into, but once you do - your child is going to be completely set up for educational and imaginative fun!!
Let me know if you have any questions 💛
Did anybody else feel personally victimized by May?! Goodness. I’m not sure what happened this month, but it has been the most exhausting, quickest, slowest month ever in the history of my life. 🤣 I normally do a preorder early in the month, but I’m opening the preorder for our jungle bins TOMORROW! I plan to deliver next week (I’m shooting for Tuesday, but it really depends on which day my sitter is available. 💛 All of the stuff is already in, and I’m putting them together this week/weekend. The book this month is SO fun! It’s a nonfiction book, and my kids have loved it! They’ve also loved digging into all of the supplies for this month’s bins! I’ll post some sneak peeks this week. I have enough supplies to sell only 10 bins, so be ready tomorrow to sign up immediately if you aren’t already a subscriber! 💛 I’m not LION - these bins are going to be fun!!
Happy Mother’s Day, mamas! I pray that your day was filled with your favorite food, kids who listened, lots of naps, and handmade gifts 💛💛💛
The best laid plans of mice and men....
Unfortunately, after waiting well over the Norma short shipping that I expected (I ordered these the day that the orders closed), my construction books for the construction bins are nowhere to be found 😭😭 I tried holding off on delivering in hopes that they’d mysteriously arrive after calling Scholastic and the post office, and nothing 😭😭😭
So, I’m just going to add some extra things to my construction bins this month (AND the mermaid bins since you guys have also been so patient) and I’ll be delivering starting today and ending Monday 🙂 I will hand deliver the construction books whenever they come in! I can’t stand when things don’t go according to plan, and I’m so sorry for this hiccup! I’m also holding off on taking any jungle orders or billing any of my subscribers until the bins are all in hand 💛
If you guys have any questions, please let me know. I’m SO excited to get these to y’all! The filler for the mermaid bin is 👩🏻🍳💋 and the entire construction bin is in my top 3 favorite bins ever! They’re going to bring so much fun and joy to your home! 💛💛💛
Today, my beautiful big girl - the one who inspired Min’s Bins - is 4. 😍😍😍
She makes me want to be a better mama, still inspires me daily, and is my favorite sidekick in this business. She loves counting items, separating supplies, and praying over the bins as we deliver them. 💛
She is my sweetest mermaid girl! Happy birthday, Elliette Joy! 💗
We are in full mermaid birthday party prep mode over here, but bins are already made and ready to be delivered next week (after the birthday celebrations end). There were WAY more mermaid bins sold this month, but the construction bins are absolutely top 5 favorite bins for me! The mermaid bins are gorgeous, but I think I’m just mermaid-Ed out after all of the mermaid activities we have going on over here 😆 Here’s a sneak peek of a project that cost less than $10 that will make a HUGE impact at my girl’s party! My grandma helped me with this one. She’s my crafting inspiration!
MEET BRAYDEN
Brayden is another super awesome customer of mine! He’s as handsome as can be, and from chatting with his mama - he’s as awesome as he is cute!!!
Here’s what his mom sent to me:
“Brayden was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. He was nonverbal. Brayden would spend most of the time lining up cars, stacking blocks, walking on his tippy toes, and he loved to flap his arms! We were blessed that Brayden got into Touchstone ABA school. It wasn’t always easy. His school was five days a week in Houma. Which made it challenging with our work schedules. If it wasn’t for the great support from our family and friends Brayden wouldn’t have succeeded in his goals! Today Brayden is verbal and about to turn 5! He absolutely loves Pre-K! He has overcome many obstacles being in a new school and around new people. Looking back when Brayden got diagnosed I felt like I failed him as a mom. I would interact with him, sing, read, and the list goes on! Instead of being in denial it was time to get the therapy that Brayden needed. He is the most loving, softhearted and routine driven kid!!! And I wouldn’t change anything! Until the pieces fit. ”
This month, a portion of all of our proceeds is going straight to Autism Awareness in the name of our awesome little friends on the spectrum. Each bin will come with some extra autism awareness goodies, too!! 😍😍😍
If you’d like to spotlight your little one on the spectrum, please shoot me a message with his/her photo and bio. We would LOVE to share about your awesome kid!
MEET BRADYN
Bradyn is one of our sweet customers who was diagnosed with autism last year. His mom shared this with me about him:
“This is Bradyn. He was diagnosed with autism and sensory processing disorder in December, only two months after he turned 3 years old. Bradyn is a bright little boy with a smile lights up the room. Bradyn is currently in speech therapy, special instruction and occupational therapy. He has come so far and is getting much better at communicating his wants and needs. He loves Ladybug & Cat Noir, Min’s Bins, his puppy, Bear and being outside. I think if Bradyn could say one thing he would want everyone to know about autism, it would be that though his brain thinks a little differently, he still has feelings. He still feels happiness and sadness like every other child does. We all have our own little things that make us special and different from each other. That’s what makes the world so beautiful.”
We LOVE all of our customers, but this month we are specifically celebrating our customers who are on the spectrum. We are also donating part of our proceeds from our mermaid and construction bins to Autism Awareness in the name of each of our special little friends. If you want to share your little one on the spectrum with us, I’d love if you’d send me a message with a short bio all about him/her so that we can spotlight them this month! 😍😍😍
It was a fun Rio day!! We waited to celebrate until our sweet cousin Allie got out of school, and by the time we finished the festivities- everyone only made it about 30 minutes into the movie 🤣🤣 I guess my husband and I will be watching Rio alone tonight!
RIO MOVIE DAY!!!
I'm sharing the links of some of the fun activities that I'm doing with my little ones tomorrow. 🙂
We have 3-4 crafts planned, one snack, and pizza of course (Ya know...the not so Brazilian meal of champs LOL).
Here are some links and pics of some of the fun things that we are doing. 🙂

One of my favorite movies is coming to Disney Plus on Friday (YAY!!), so we are having a Rio themed day of fun on Friday leading up to a movie night.
Have you ever done a movie themed day for your kids? Would you like me to share some of the activities we are doing?
One of our bins has almost TWICE the amount as the other already ordered. Do you think that more people ordered MERMAID or CONSTRUCTION bins this month? Drop an emoji to let me know your guess!!!
Today is the FINAL day to preorder a construction or mermaid bin! I ended up having to add to the amount that I normally make, so this month is going to be a BIG one!! I'm so excited to be able to use some of the proceeds from this month to donate to Autism Awareness!
I have some pretty strict rules about indoor sensory play but outside...? !!!
