I know a lot of us say things like “I’ll be happy when…”
We spend so much of our lives chasing whatever it is that we believe will make us happy. So much so that we don’t see that we can be happy right now!
Everyday is a blessing. Never take anything for granted. Stop living in the future and make the most of now. Remember tomorrow isn’t guaranteed!
Go out with friends, spend time with family. One day they might not be there so never take them for granted. I hope each and everyone of you has a fantastic weekend! ❤️❤️❤️

This week in the UK we are sharing awareness for mental health. It’s really important that more people start to understand how debilitating a mental illness really is. A lot of people don’t understand mental illness because it can’t be seen like someone with a broken arm for example.

People can understand heart problems, stomach problems, arthritis etc but not brain problems 🧠

Essentially that’s what mental health is. If you look at the brain as the control centre for the rest of the body, you can understand why mental health might affect things like panic attacks and physical pain. After all the brain is controlling your body without you thinking about it.

Imagine depression, ptsd, anxiety and other illnesses are like a virus. A virus that once it’s in your brain it can cause so many symptoms. Some people have struggled for years, whilst others have just started to feel this way after the past two years of isolating.

In fact this year the awareness is around loneliness. After the two years we’ve just had it’s easy to understand that loneliness can attribute to depression, anxiety and many other illnesses.

People need to know that this is normal and it’s ok to not be ok. If you feel like you need to speak to someone then do it. Even if it’s just to a good friend. Don’t suffer in silence. You’d be surprised to see how many people are suffering with these illnesses. You’re really not alone.
