An Entrepreneur is a fascinating creature :)
They have a high-risk tolerance, are willing to embrace the unknown, and get up one more time than they fall, plus a gazillion other qualities that make them unique. Starting a business is no easy task, and it takes a typical entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to play all the business roles required to make a venture work.
I remember when I ventured out in private education. I was the CEO, the marketing manager driving almost 3000 km (1875 miles) every week to venues, that I had to book myself and conduct my interest meetings. I was also the curriculum developer, the material designer, the IT guy, and the financial manager. As Entrepreneurs, we do what we need to do to get our businesses going.
Then, we enrolled our first couple of hundred students, appointed some help, our staff grew, and within 3 years, we trained 3500 students and employed 12 full-time staff members. The load I carried was intense, and I still tried to do most of the interest meetings myself. In all of this, I drowned myself in the business's operations, and that was my mistake!
