I don’t know who else needs this today, but my dad sent me a prayer that he prays each morning. I wanted to share it with others so they may be encouraged with me.

“Every morning, I ask the Lord for several things. Here are several of them: This is probably a salvation verse but I ask anyway. Lord Jesus, you said Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Please take the burden from my soul, my mind, my body and my spirit and give me rest today.

Lord God, You told Joshua - Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go….Lord God, help me today to be strong and of good courage because I know that you are with me.

Lord Jesus, please give me the peace that passes human understanding today. As You told your disciples, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid…Lord Jesus, please let my heart not be troubled or afraid today.

On that Sunday night, with confused emotions and fears running high, the disciples were behind locked doors and Jesus came to them and said, Peace be with you….Lord Jesus, take my fears and emotions of today and give me peace.

Lord Jesus, help me walk as Your child today. Please give me Your grace and as I ask for grace, mercy and kindness, let me give it to others so I may show that I am the child of the King.

That’s just a drop in the ocean. Embrace the Word and His comfort will be your reward.”

We want to say thank you to so many who have reached out to say they are praying for us and the situation in our country.
We want those who love and pray for us to know that we are doing fine and we trust the Lord in all these things. He is good, he is our Heavenly Father, our fortress to run to in times of trouble, and we trust He will always lead us and never forsake us.
Please continue to pray for peace and especially for the Lord to continue to work in the hearts of those here. That many would come to know Him and His love and care for them!
May His will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

Isaiah 45:8 says:
“You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the LORD, have created it.

We are enjoying a glorious rain this morning and while we are so very thankful for this physical rain, our prayer is for a spiritual rain that will fall on this land and the hearts of this people and salvation will spring up, and righteousness will flourish with it.

Lately, we have found ourselves very busy with life. Many days are full of business and the frustrations that come while trying to accomplish tasks on our to do lists. I was recently challenged as I stepped out of the business of my day, for one minute, and into this daycare for handicapped kids. I walked in and told them all hello in their local language and they got all excited and started singing. I want you to notice the joy on their faces! Their song says “ God is powerful and God is big there is nothing he cannot do”. Their Joy does not come out of their situations, or in getting things done and accomplishing much. Their Joy comes only from the love of Jesus. It overflows from these ladies that take care of them, through these kids and then blesses whoever comes into contact with them. What a challenge they were to me! True Joy is contagious. Does the world see true Joy in us?

Ramadan is almost here!
Let's Cover Every Minute in Prayer! Ramadan is one of the five requirements, or pillars, of Islam. During each of its 30 days, Nigerien Muslims are obligated to fast from food, drinking liquids (including water), smoking, and sexual relations from dawn until sunset. This year, Ramadan will take place from April 1st to May 1st which is the hottest season of the entire year in Niger and daily temperatures will likely reach or exceed 120° Fahrenheit. The majority of Nigerien population will outwardly practice Ramadan and will become more serious about religion during this time. This time of sincerely seeking truth and repentance makes Ramadan a strategic opportunity for Christians to pray for Nigerien Muslims.

This year, we would like to cover the entire country of Niger in prayer during the month of Ramadan and we need your help! Please visit https://ramadan.prayforniger.org/ to sign up for a time slot to pray. You can choose to have a recurring 15-minute time increment each day for the 30 days, or you can choose to sign up for individual time slots. Each day you will receive an email with a reminder to pray and a link to the daily prayer prompts and requests. We believe that the Lord is going to move in a powerful way during this month and we desperately want you to join us in praying for the people of Niger.

We are so thankful for a God who SEES. He’s in the details and He is never surprised at our situations or responses.

Grateful that we can come to Him with our every need and He guards our hearts and minds with a supernatural peace. We are praying that for all of you today, fam! 🤍

“But progress means getting nearer to the place where you want to be. And if you have taken a wrong turn, then to go forward does not get you any nearer. If you are on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; and in that case the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive man.” - CS Lewis in Mere Christianity

Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth… let the desert and its towns raise their voices. // Isaiah 42:10-11 ☀️

when I look into his eyes, I see perseverance, resilience, and a desire to be loved. I’ve seen tears flow from these big browns many times, but I’ve also seen them sparkle with life when that smile is erupting with the sweetest laughter. you can’t help but fall in love with this face!

makes me wonder what Father God sees when he looks into our eyes 💙

“You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that. “In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:43-48‬ ‭MSG‬‬

playground life, best life! these boys are inseparable 💙

one of these guys seems to be always striving to get more affection than the other, no matter that they are both immensely and equally loved. one is always coming back for extra goodnight hugs or squeezing tighter than he thought the first one squeezed. when I think about that, I wonder if that’s what some of us are doing with God — even though he loves ALL of us so much that he literally sacrificed his only son.

Psalm 133:1 says, “how beautiful it is when brothers and sisters live in UNITY!” what would this world look like if we all knew how much God loves us and shared his love with others? praying you feel the immense love of our Father today (enough to stop striving)!

15/09/2021

Just wait… do you enjoy hearing those words?

I think everyone is always waiting for something — big news from the bank or doctor’s office, a loved one to call, your baby to stop crying, a friend to show up for your coffee date… some things seem bigger than others but it’s always something.

Can you imagine waiting and not growing weary? Just take that next obedient step and wait upon the Lord. His faithful promise to us is that He will renew our strength and we can walk through life without giving up! He is our provider and protector and He always comes through!
