Orange Peel Pottery
Small batch pottery. Bespoke modern ceramics. Made in Orange, California. I design and create functional pottery to use in your everyday life.
The same qualities that make us unique are our imperfections and that's also what makes handmade items so special. Those who seek handmade goods can appreciate the marks of a hand and the care that goes into creating each piece. Each piece can serve as a talking point that can guide conversations onto a path of the unexpected. Quality and design shouldn't be for only the rich, which is why my pieces are priced so they are affordable to be used everyday by everyone.
New mugs for all you thugs
If you think you’re too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito. - Dalai L
Little Monday inspiration for ya lovely jerks. These cups pair well with bourbon. Cheers!
It always starts with sketches.
Why is the word abbreviation so long?
Been a minute since I’ve posted an actual picture of what’s in the works, been heads down this spring and will probably stay that way for while. Change comes with work. Cheers!
Fun fact, hand made pottery makes bourbon taste better.
Legit sexy mugs.
Big pots for you lots. These are pretty versatile for uses - slap it on your counter and shove some utensils in it.
Mug. With drips. That’s all I’ve got today.
It was a blue ribbon week - I opened a new tube of toothpaste and a new container of floss on the same day. Things are synching up folks.
Also, new mugs dropped in my shop. Link in my bio.
I may not be a 10, but look what I pulled… out of the kiln yesterday.
The rains bring gorgeous greens
Mental note: wear socks next time when I go on a long walk. Adidas shoes are not forgiving.
Played with some platter designs and new glaze.
Went to the pet store the other day, and every square inch is covered in Valentines crap. Now is a good times to mention, while I love ground hog day, I loathe Valentine’s Day. Baaaah I say.
Instead I’m going to change Feb 14th into oil cruet day. I shall pour all the oil and dance around to 80s music.
Happy Ground hogs day!! My favorite holiday of the year - no gifts, no meals, no parties… just a furry little bastard letting us know if we’ve got more winter or spring is coming early.
And wishing a very Happy Imbolc to all. Let us give our home a makeover by cleaning our houses and creating good vibes around us. Cheers!
Green glaze for days has me drooling.
Monday mornings come too fast.
These mugs are some of my favorite design and I’ll be bringing them back with a different glaze and stoneware clay body. Can’t wait to show you.
Why do pump bottle tops have to be such as****es at times? Half the time I can spin those suckers and they never want to open.
Oh, here are some vases I made. Don’t mind me while I run with scissors today… cheers!
If you’re reading this, thanks for being here.
For the past several years I’ve had my wifi router named FBI surveillance van. Not sure why my neighbors won’t talk to me.
Cheese is the glue that holds my life together. And the reason I have to workout more.
The candle were a hit. I got mocked by my teen and her friends as they walked around with them pretending to be Ebenezer Scrooge. Well played, well played.
I promised myself I’d stop reorganizing the dishwasher if i finally had help doing dishes. I have no self control, I rearranged the s**t out of it and had no shame.
Oh, and there’s pottery. Made these lovelies that are versatile in use which is why I love them so much. Cheers!
Last Friday of the year and I’m here for it. Will I party like it’s 1999? Only if spending the eve in Jammie’s and drinking wine until 10 pm and I go to bed counts as a party. Woooooooo!
These lovelies sold out. But you can believe more are coming as I start to expand on bringing back my basics of black and white bold design. Cheers!
Cheers to the weekend. Happy Christmas, happy Chanukah, happy weekend no matter what you celebrate.
Can’t believe it this weekend is Christmas already. Last bits of what I pulled out of the kiln here. Some sexy ass black glaze has me drooling.
Here’s a pro tip for putting up Christmas lights outside. If the string of lights comes out of the box already pre-tangled, just plug it in, lay it on the ground and go back in to drink wine. Christmas done. Cheers!
Bowls, bowls, bowls.
If you set your mind free, baby
Maybe you'd understand
Starfish and coffee
Maple syrup and jam… Best lyrics ever.
These oil cruets have all sold and will be shipped out today, but thought I’d take a hot minute to check out the color tops I received from (not a paid sponsorship) to see how they look on my 3 stripe cruets. What do you think? Drop me a note and maybe I’ll add them as an option. I’m personally digging the gold. Life’s beautiful, make it sparkle with a touch of gold. Cheers!
I’ve got a few problems but need to have a lot mugs isn’t one of them.
Made of black stoneware, these will keep coffee (and tea for you folk… you know who are) hotter longer. And it’s a proven fact every liquid tasted better in a hand made mug. Trust me, I’m a scientist since I took a master class with bill nye. Huzzah!!!
A couple of these left in my Etsy shop. Cheers!
There’s snow on the mountains and I’m excited to see it from down where it’s warm.
Oh and vases are for more than just flowers.
The wee hamlet I live in is all jazzed up for Christmas. I love where I live!
These herb stripper bowls sold out on day one. I’ll be making more next year.
I’m officially a certified auto mechanic in case you need one. I changed the batteries in my key fob on my own, which I believe qualifies me.
Made a few of these cozy, rustic, modern, organic things. Kick on your best Ebenezer night gown and cap, take a stroll around. Actually don’t stroll with the candles, I don’t endorse that. But they do look pritz next to the ole tannenbaum. These will be for sale with candle (also handmade beeswax from jolly ole England) Cheers!
