It's been a chaotic few months! All moved into a new house and ready to build my new hobby studio! A 9' x10' space from which to forge the bleakest expressions of the grim darkness of the far future.

Starting to knock out some proxies

I've always wanted to try the Wombat and the Buffalo kits from I used both kits on this Rhino WIP, and they are great!

I've always been bothered by the fact that you couldn't reasonably fit 10 infantry into a rhino. Removing the very large driver's compartment, the proportions come in line with the vehicle stats.

This is the first time I've used a completely oil-based verdigris process. I think the end result is rather convincing.

Unweathered TMM backpack for comparison.

I am always experimenting with weathering and verdigris. These are early steps of a verdigris process using Veridian oils as a base. With the reverse highlighting of the base complete, next steps will be progressively lighter hues of greens and blues using a very whispy, subtle technique.

Sister Repentia Superior WIP. Mostly playing around with a new, DIY lightbox made for taking better photos.

I don't see many people talk about these much, but watercolor pencils make amazing weathering pencils for the miniature hobbyist.

I am biased, but I tend to prefer artist-quality materials over products created for the hobbyist in most cases. This is no exception. These watercolor pencils are fantastic weathering tools!
