Mr Char-les you've been a dream to travel with 💙🩵💙 What a fun adventure it has been! Some special memories have been made that will be in the treasurebank! What a delightful country Indo is! Lovely friendly people, some very tasty food, so much time being a mermaid in the water in some way or another, gorgeous scenery! Amazzzzing!

Now home bound! Time to meet the late summer/early autumn in the UK which I'm pretty excited for! Going to miss the tropical climate for sure but hot chocolates and my cosy down duvet are going to make it a little easier to land back home!

What a delightful island 🐥 💚🩷💚

Climbing Mount Rinjani was THE hardest trek I've ever done! On day 2 out of the 3 day hike we were on the move from 2am until 5pm and not any any normal terrain. The summet was a grueling 3 hour walk in the dark on steep, slippy, sandy stone - every 2 steps forward you'd slide one step backwards. We were so relieved to reach the top with plenty of time to watch the dreamy milkyway turn into a spectacular show of oranges, pinks, purples and blues as the sun came up. The journey back down was easier and it felt good to know we didn't have to climb up there again as we passed people still heading up looking defeated by the climb ahead.

By 8am we'd already done 5 hours of trekking but we had another 7 hours to go which felt like a massive feat with our already tired legs. I thought the first half down to the lake would at least be easy but nooo... It was a slippery, rocky scramble down a steep cliff side that threatened to throw you off the steep drop with one bad step. I couldn't believe how quickly the porters were skipping down it in flip flops carrying the heavy loads on a bamboo pole over their shoulders! Hats off to them!

After a refreshing dip in the lake and a soothing bathe in the hot springs we headed for the ascent up what seemed like an impossible cliff face - I wondered where the hell the path was as I stared up at the volcanoes crater rim looming above us. It was a scramble, not a walk up. We climbed up rocks, wobbly ladders and steps that had semi fallen apart in the 2018 earthquake. I felt fearful a lot of the time, scared about slipping off the drop, legs feeling like sacks of led, wobbly from fatigue. I've never been so relieved to have got to have got to the finish line.

The last day was a much more pleasant, but still slippy and steep downhill walk through the jungle. Legs were extremely sore and tired but we trudged on and were sooo relieved to finish! I didn't realise it was going to be that hard or as much of an adventurous walk. Happy to be on flat ground once again!

Feels so good to be in the rich, fertile, volcanic lands of North Lombok, surrounded with luscious greenery! Some serious green wall inspo down by the waterfall! 💚

Tomorrow we'll be heading on our 3 day trek up Mount Rinjani - an active volcano which we'll be camping on for 2 nights under the stars! So excited for some hiking adventures!

Tis the season for elderflower champagne ☀️💛☀️ Was stressing a little bit as the elderflowers were looking more and more at their prime as I didn't want to miss making some delicious cordial and champagne! Finally I managed to get all my uni work done in time for harvesting wahoo! Such a lovely way to mark the end! And think I found my favourite bush ever... Look how bountiful it is! Thank you elder!

Definitely feeling like summer is making its way! Lovely beach times yesterday for the french mans birthday And today I have another assignment in the bag! Just one more to go now and life can start being lived more fully again!

Had a lovely time up in the Lake District with the famalam for my cousin's wedding! Congratulations and thank you for a lovely time! I forgot how beautiful the lakes are!

Such a lovely autumnal adventure last weekend at the for mine and 1 year anniversary 🩷 The little pod was so cosy with the fireplace! Would definitely recommend staying there for lovely cosy nature times!
