This is why it's important to have your caravan serviced annually, especially if it does a lot of mileage. This is from a caravan I serviced yesterday. When I removed the hub, the lining from one of the brake shoes fell on the floor! For the safety of yourselves and others while towing, it is important to have fully working brakes. Getting your caravan's brakes checked & adjusted regularly will identify these problems early on - I do this as part of a Road Safety Inspection or Full Service.
