Grief, loss and trauma affect us all. Whether through individual moments or holding the weight of the collective experience - we are all moving through something.
These feelings and emotions take hold of our hearts and mind and sometimes we start to see them play out as physical symptoms. Plant medicines can help support the emotions to flow, ease troubling thoughts, and alleviate physical ailments that arise.
Join us for this special online herbal class to learn about the plant allies for grief, loss and trauma. September 24, 2024 11am-1pm (GMT) This class is offered on a sliding scale $25-$50, we do not ask for proof of income but ask that each person identify what they are able to pay.
The presentation portion of the class will be recorded for those who are not able to join us live but would like to learn on their own time.

On our way home from Colorado, stopping for some beauty and rest near Echo Canyon Reservoir, found abundant stands of mullein, thistle, and yarrow. So beautiful!
This week my teen took us to their walking trail to pick cota, Grindelia, and Yerba de La Negrita. We also found verbena and soapwort! Here’s the thing… sometimes we think our young ones aren’t listening, but they are. Teach them about the medicinas, it is knowledge that will serve them and their communities for a lifetime.
Today we were honored to spend the afternoon with the powerful women of Native Women Lead and their incredible group of women entrepreneurs. We talked about our relationship with self care and made medicine together. Feeling very grateful for their trust and presence today 🌱

This has been an abundant year for fruit here in northern New Mexico and we were blessed to a great harvest of apricots this beautiful summer day!
These nutritious low calorie treats are not only delicious but good for you too. Apricots are a great source of many antioxidants, including beta carotene and vitamins A, C, and E. The high flavonoid content helps to protect your body from oxidative stress, which is linked to many chronic diseases. They also support eye, skin and gut health!
Some of these fruits will end up in our Lavender Apricot Jam, some will be frozen for future use. But we are curious… what is your favorite thing to make with apricots. We would love to hear your ideas and recipes 🧡🍊😊✨
Honored and excited to facilitate this upcoming conversation! Visit the NMBFT website to register ❤️🌈❤️
Only a couple more weeks to register! Sign up today 🌱

Harvesting plantain today with our little helper 🐾
Cota season marks the beginning of summer here in New Mexico. Yellow bunches along acequia waters and embracing every roadway. This gentle remedio supports our own passageways in the body - allowing water and air to move freely. We drink it hot or iced and store some to use throughout the year.
Thank you to our friend Liz who shared this beautiful medicine with us today. These bundles will be making their way to a group of people who will be participating in a medicine workshop with us next week. 🌱
Making our own baby food is easy and fun! Join us for this next class at Breath of My Heart Birthplace 💛💙🧡 call to register 💚🧡💜
