Meet our Outstanding President Kalli Gregory!

"Hi! My name is Kalli Gregory and I am the President of Mortar Board at BGSU. I am currently a Neuroscience Major in hopes to become a Pediatric Neurologist! I also have a minor in Psychology! In my free time I like to dance in all styles, paint, and I travel Ohio as Miss Sparkle Nation! I own my own business called Kalli's Creative Cornerfor Cerebral Palsy Awarenes! Where I sell my artwork and raise money for Cerebral Palsy research! I am super excited to meet new people, learn new leadership skills and promote how great Mortar Board is!! Go Falcons!!🧡🎓"

"My name is Alexa Tenney and I am a senior with a major in Film Production and a minor in Digital Arts. I am currently president of BG on Screen, a student film organization on campus! I love to design characters and really enjoy spending time outside in the warmer months. I joined the Mortar Board to meet other students at BGSU who have similar goals to mine!"

Meet our amazing Advisor Tiffany Menard!


"She is the Honors College's Assistant Director for Fellowship Mentoring. She has been at BGSU since 2015 and began her career as a falcon as a full-time Ph.D student in the Higher Education Administration program and has worked as a research assistant and most recently as the interim Program Advisor for the McNair Scholars Program, which is a part of TRIO Programs. Tiffany has a B.A. in Political Science and an M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and she is originally from upstate New York. When she is not in the office she loves spending time with her family, including her son Jackson, her partner James, his two daughters, and their cat Velvet. Tiffany loves working with Honors students and to helping the BGSU community to pursue external scholarships and fellowships! She can't wait to meet all the Mortar Members!"

Meet Our Amazing Mortar Board member Krsangi!

"Krsangi Dove is a junior at BGSU pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with a minor in music. She currently is studying part time to accommodate an internship at Marathon Petroleum and will be working at Nationwide over the summer. Krsangi is a member of the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM), BG Women in Computing (BG-WIC), Linux Club, and The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). In her free time, Krsangi enjoys solving logic puzzles, working out, playing piano, and lots of chocolate."

Meet our outstanding Mortar Board member Matt!

Matt is a senior Honors student majoring in Business Analytics, Information Systems, and International Business. He is a member of the Business Innovation and Technology Group, an Honors Ambassador, and an Executive Board member for the Schmidthorst Student Ambassadors. Outside of extracurriculars, Matt loves music and has played drums for over twelve years. He enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling. (Fun fact: that photo was taken in Monaco!) "I joined the Mortar Board because I deeply care about making a positive impact in my community and wanted to share that mission with other students!"

Meet Erin! One of our outstanding Mortar Baord Members!

"Hello! My name is Erin and I am a part of the Mortar Board! I am a third-year student in the Inclusive Early Childhood Education Program and am part of the Honors College. I am also part of Math Camp and Alpha Phi Omega. For BGSU, I work as a campus tour guide, an admissions front desk host, and a university orientation coordinator. I love BGSU hockey, reading, crocheting, and going to art museums!"

To join the Mortar Board you Must be a senior in credit hours and you must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

To apply for Mortar Board please write an Essay on what Scholarship, Leadership and Service mean to you and send in a resume highlighting things such as your schooling, awards, various clubs, and organizations that you are a part of, volunteering experience and any other things that you would like to let us know about! Please send these two items back to [email protected] by February 10th at 11:59pm.
