Hey there! I wanted to let you know that you can now purchase tickets for the University of Toronto Opera's performance of Il Capello di Paglia di Firenze by Nino Rota. I will play the role of Elena, the lovely bride, on Thursday, November 23rd and Saturday, November 25th, at 7:30 PM on both days. The performances will occur at the Macmillan Theatre in the music faculty. You can get to the venue by taking the subway to Museum station and walking to the building beside and a little behind the ROM. You can also drive there and park beside the building. Please have a look at the link I've included below for more ticket info. Please let me know if you're coming.. I'll be sure to come see you at the end of the opera 💓

🔶 Le ténor Thomas Viñals. Originaire de Québec, Thomas est diplômé du Conservatoire de musique de Montréal ainsi que de la prestigieuse Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst de Vienne, en Autriche. Il se démarque particulièrement par son timbre lyrique et chaleureux.

I'm excited to begin my Advanced Diploma in Operatic Performance at the University of Toronto. I can't wait to perform in some amazing operas! The best part of ALL OF THIS is that I won't have to take any more academics, theory, or history courses anymore!!! 🥳😝 I'll keep you updated on my upcoming performances as the year goes on.

Never let anyone tell you that you must limit yourself.

Speaking from personal experience, I confidently pursued opera and musical theatre despite the opinions of others who advised me to choose just one. I dedicated myself to working my a** off, practiced for hours until my voice was tired, caught up on all that IPA, theory, history… and maintained my musical theatre technique while trying to develop a high level of classical singing technique at rapid speed… the list goes on. Despite not pursuing a degree in voice performance for four years in an undergraduate, I made up for lost time and successfully “caught up” in my master's degree within two years in the classical area of music. I take pride in that my journey toward achieving my goals differed from most people's. Initially, I felt ashamed; It always felt like I was miles behind. But I have realized that the path one takes to reach their destination does not matter. What counts is the hard work put in, and the individuality of the journey makes it unique. I am thrilled to announce that I now hold a master's degree concentrating on opera and classical voice and a bachelor's degree in musical theatre. Although my singing leans more towards the classical genre at the moment, I am looking forward to gradually reintroducing myself to the theatre scene to strike a bit more balance and broaden my horizons. I am optimistic about what the future has in store for me.

See ya later, Boston. You have taught me a lot, and sometimes it was hard, but I don’t think I would have grown as much as an individual if I had not come here. 💜

Closing this chapter to start a new one!

Very excited to begin my journey this September at the University of Toronto to pursue their Advanced Diploma in Operatic Performance. I am truly blessed that they presented such a fantastic and competitive offer to me after a very busy audition season for post-master programs in the US and Canada. I am excited to return home and continue my journey in opera and theatre. Looking forward 💓
