REPOSTING:
For those selling and buying CLOTH MASKS!
Forwarding from My Doctor Client, please read:

Pls pray for our colleagues working in the covid wards. They’re exhausted 😔
Yes it’s, really scary to go to the supermarkets nowadays 😔 It’s actually more scary to go there than the hospitals. Because in the hospitals there’s what we call a triage center where they screen everyone going inside. They require everyone to wear surgical masks (not cloth masks). Actually, for me, the health authorities should discourage people from wearing cloth masks. They provide zero protection for both the one wearing it and the people around the wearer. I think this is one major reason for the surge in covid cases in NCR. People at work are mostly wearing these masks and it gives them a false sense of security or safety. When they talk they release virus particles on the cloth and based on studies the virus stays on fabric for up to 3 days. So viral particles are on their cloth masks inside and outside. I see a lot of people cobstantly touching their cloth masks so the virus is on their hands already. I've already sent messages to all my fb friends (non medical) to tell them about the disadvantages of using cloth masks. What i tell them is to put a paper towel inside their cloth mask so the viral particles only stay on the paper towel and then change the paper towel everytime they remove their mask (before or after eating). Paper towel is a good filter material and it’s cheap. I think 100 pcs of interfolded paper towels, Cost only 40 to 50 pesos. So for those who cant afford the surgical masks, paper towel inside the cloth mask is a good alternative. Once it gets contaminated they can just remove it nd put another one so their cloth mask stays clean and sterile.
Sorry for the long message. I hope you can spread this message also to all your friends so we can limit the spread of the virus. I really feel sorry for all healthworkers in the hospitals. Theyre really tired already 😔

Sharing post of Dr. Ella Araneta-Cuñada (pulmonologist)

113 deaths today! 😞

People of Bacolod and Negros, let us be vigilant. ECQ mindset anay for the next 2 weeks please. There is clustering of local transmission happening and if we are not careful we might be the next NCR or Cebu.

Just a few reminders for friends who still have to go to work:
1. If you are at the workplace, my advise is do not remove your mask at all times, even if you are with your friends. Wear goggles or a shield if you can.
2. When you eat, try to eat alone, or maintain at least 2 meters distance from one another and limit talking. As much as possible, eat alone, 1 at a time.

Definition of close contact where there is high risk of transmission is if both persons are not wearing a mask, being in an enclosed place for more than 2 hrs, or being together less than 2 meters apart for more than 15 mins.

Even when you are careful, are you sure that the people you interact with have not been in contact with positive cases in the past 14 days, are asymptomatic carriers or asymptomatic positives?

To quote a friend: Better praning than kaging.

Stay safe everyone! Wash hands, physical distancing, wear your mask, and don't forget to pray!
