Forge has been formed to help men, 18 years or older who are suffering from the effects of substance abuse.
We are a work structured program designed to teach men how to stay clean while living life on life's terms.

Our graduates and staff took a much needed getaway to celebrate our new found lives in recovery! The graduates of Forge are the heartbeat of our program. This elite group of men are all active and giving of themselves freely to help sponsor and mentor our current residents. In addition to that they serve all across our community in some major ways. Together we will continue to restore men to a life of freedom, hope, and purpose!! We do recover!!!

Congratulations to our graduates! We are honored to witness the transformation of our men, as they rise up from the ashes. Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame. Our recovery commUNITY continues to grow as these leaders join us in our mission to restore men to a life of freedom, hope, and purpose!!! Thank you to the Vidalia Onion Festival Committee and the Blue Angels for presenting our men with a commemorative award for their selfless service during this year’s festival!!!

Level 2 (L-2) Project
We teamed up with Toombs County Family Connection today to bring the “Get Toombs Reading” program to the families of Vidalia, Georgia. We were able to serve over 50 children today and distribute books, food, fun and a lot of love!!! Gardens of Hope RCO was also there to train the parents and distribute the life saving, overdose reversal drug Naloxone (Narcan). To top things off, Terra Dolce Farms provided us with some of the sweetest Georgia grown watermelons you ever tasted. We are thrilled to be a part of the solution today. Our commUNITY is amazing!!!

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to learn together as we continue to grow and develop. Over 40 recovery champions and allies were in attendance today at the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services(DFCS) We are so thankful that the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences continues to provide amazing training to all of the recovery residence across the great state of Georgia!!!

A Level 1 (L-1) project is on that allows the men of Forge to give back and serve their brothers. This week we took the time to disconnect so that we could connect. Recovery is a process that requires so much more than just the abstinence of drugs and alcohol. Recovery is a process that allows us to become a giver and a contributing member of society! Together we are making our world a better place with every act of selfless service!!

We had a blast celebrating another fantastic Level 1 (L1) project. Our men are true warriors! No matter how many times they have been knocked down, they continue to get back up and fight everyday for their recovery!!! Recovery is amazing!!!

It was an honor to be a part of the Greater Vidalia Chamber groundbreaking ceremony this week. One of our next Level 2 (L2) projects will be to build a deck for the Back Porch Venue at the museum. Our L2 projects are community service projects that the men of Forge are required to plan and execute before phasing up. By learning the importance of commUNITY and becoming a part of the solution, our men find purpose and a reason to continue doing the next right thing! Recovery is real in Toombs County!!!

As each man plans and executes his L-1 Project our members grow together in unity. Our programs strength comes from these team building exercises. Together… we can do what we were never capable of doing alone!
