It's FINALLY their wedding day! I shot their engagement session when I was still pregnant so it's been a long time since I've seen them and cannot wait to celebrate them tonight!

Kicking off fall wedding season in a couple days and I'm SO excited to be reunited with my couples and meet some new friends too!

Brides: What is your current wedding countdown??

Was anyone else unaware?!

I did not realize it's Labor Day weekend and it was a lovely surprise. So for anyone that just found out, your welcome and enjoy the long weekend!

Something we are SO excited about...

We have been traveling for a few years now for work and have been blessed to go to some amazing places from Cali to Puerto Rico and everywhere in between. There are a few places we haven't been and get to check some of those places off in the coming weeks and months, it feels like a dream!

Thank you to everyone, and specifically our amazing couples that let us live out our dream consistently.

The details that help tell your story.

As a photographer, I love my couples to have private moments, but it can be challenging to capture them as well. I try very hard to capture the moments that are meant to be captured (or specifically requested) while also giving my couples adequate space to be free. The magic and romance in these moments are some of my favorites.

I always tell couples that the thing most your guests will remember the most is the food, its true!! This goes from the cocktail hours through dessert. Adding vendors like is a great addition to cocktail hour or dessert, and they have different carts available as well (drinks anyone??).

I will never hate on any type of exit strategy, but I will hype up certain ones like having bubbles galore while the church bells are rigging.

These tones...I love. That's it.

Can we please take a second to recognize how precious the smile going into the first kiss is?! I cannot wait for more of these moments this fall.

Last year I started taking couples to golf courses for sessions, and I will ALWAYS encourage this because they are peak!

This was one of my favorite venues to shoot at due to the different nooks in the property that created different vibes throughout. It also has one of the most unique ceremony spaces in the north georgia area.

Some people might think this is silly, or a waste of time....

But I think taking the time to pull details (I like to a lot about 30 minutes), and let them have your moment is the essence of setting the scene in your gallery and day. They are the pieces that are building your day (dress, rings, vows, venue). No matter if you just have a few pieces to summarize things or a whole bag of goodies, I will always advocate to take a moment to capture these things.

Does August 1st count as the start of fall wedding season, because my brides and I are ready!

I do realize my last post was also about fall but what can I say, I'm a fall girl through and through.

I'm 1000% ready for fall weather, colors, clothes, beverages, and anything that is the opposite hot and humid. Also, fall brides, your time is almost here!

Truth: the colors of the season have a heavy influence of what your images will look like. If you have questions about choosing colors, season, or editing styles, never hesitate to reach out and ask!

The ceremony space is nothing to over look or minimize, it's THE place your marriage begins, your loved ones watching, and the first time you are announced as one. While other spaces of the venue are important, we think this space takes the cake! We have seen some truly special ceremony spaces and vows exchanged, it's a favorite of the day and I still get chills.

Sunset photos are my favorite. The soft, golden light creates such a romantic and dreamy atmosphere, perfect for capturing stunning newlywed portraits.

💡 Photography Tip: Schedule time during your reception to step away for sunset photos. It’s a quiet moment for you two and the results are always stunning. I will also pop time in the timeline for my couples, and they get to make the call when it's time if that's something they want to it. Some love the moments of privacy, others want to enjoy the dance floor and whatever works for them works for me.

Something that might surprise people...

I get just as excited about a wedding countdown as you do! I shot Vanessa and Cam's engagement session over a year ago and we are 2+ months out from their wedding day. It feels so sweet to be getting close to their day. Not only am I excited to see their day come together, but also to see them because my couples are SO fun.

It’s almost been one whole month since Zach and I eloped, so let’s talk about it 😝
