Kaleigh and Anthony ☁️

I have so many things I could say about this day it’s hard for me to figure out where to start. When I think of Kaleigh and Anthony’s wedding day the first word that comes to mind is
love. And not just between the two of them but the love that came from their friends and family.

As a wedding photographer I see tons of different dynamics. None from what I see are right or wrong. Just different. But what was undeniable is the love and support their family and friends have for their relationship. This wedding was truly about celebrating love. It was so special to be able to witness 🤍

20 years from now, as you go through your wedding album, you won’t just think about how this day looked—you’ll remember how you took every chance to live it up on your wedding day.

Valerie and Matthew’s engagement session at Princeton University.

We bonded over our shared love for sushi and tacos (and both agreed tacos take the lead). And Val and I’s love for running and f***y packs.

They also shared with me their date night tradition. Every Thursday they like to try a new restaurant. It makes the date more intentional and creates a forever memory. I’m all about living life with intention and so this tradition is definitely one I want to try.

Emily & Mike’s downtown Somerville engagement session was so sweet and special 🥲🤍

We explored the area, went to all their favorite places, and even took photos where they had their first date! (It’s giving rom-com!!)

I absolutely love when couples take me to places that mean something to them and their relationship, it always gives me all the feels taking engagement photos where their love blossomed 🥲

When I tell you I was cheesing SO HARD this entire session, my cheeks were literally sore at the end.

The way these two look at each other had me melting, and how they effortlessly giggled and danced and had fun together made my job a breeze.

Such a beautiful and fun night at Cross Estate Gardens with them!! 🫶🏼

When you look back on your wedding photos 10, 20, even 50 years from now, my hope is that you are transported right back to that moment. 🥲

You feel the butterflies in your stomach you felt before walking down the aisle. You remember what you were thinking as you were putting your jewelry on for the day.

But you also remember little things you might have forgotten...like what you and your grandmother were whispering to each other on the dance floor, or what your cake looked and tasted like.

You probably won’t remember the poses, but you’ll remember the dancing, the tears, the fun, and the love you felt that day.

That is my goal and that is what I will give to you 🤍

Chris and Chrissie’s engagement session was a perfect example of go with the flow!

Typically I have the session location all mapped out. Where to go and when. Not this time! Chris and Chrissie had me join them at their favorite places in Belmar. To the beach, bar, the bay to Grammys car lol. All while getting to meet Chrissie’s adorable family. It was such a fun time!

It was also one of the windiest days we’ve probably ever had in Jersey and these two embraced every second of it. Personally I think the wind made their photos even more fun!

With Nicole and Matt I learned…it’s the little things.

During their engagement session I noticed how attentive Matt was to Nicole. Always helping her with the “little things” opening her water bottle for her, carrying her bag, pulling her chair out. Sure these are little things. But if you’re there for the little things there is no doubt you’re there for the big things.

Question for everyone…

I’ve asked this before but it’s time for a refresh. Do captions matter? Do you read captions? Specifically when following by wedding photographers. Are you more so following them for photo inspo, education, or both?!

I’ve never loved writing…I’m way more of a visual person (lol shocking). So captions…not my favorite. But I’d do it for you guys if you want. So let me know below, are captions important to you?

Photos don’t just bring a smile to your face. They spark stories.

Think back to a time where someone brings out that old family album. Suddenly everyone’s laughing and reminiscing. The moments in the photo may be in the past, but here you are, bonding with your loved ones in the present.
