Happy Friday friends! Another day, another book review! 😃 Full of quirky characters and full of charm, this cozy mystery was just what I needed to read, during a very stressful week. This is my first read by this author, and it definitely won’t be my last. It was funny, heartwarming, and definitely binge worthy. You want to know who’s the culprit, so you read on as fast as you can, and in the end everything comes nicely together. This is a story written in several different point of views, and it all worked. It was funny, silly, heartwarming, suspenseful, and fun. If you like quirky characters that grab onto your ❤️, this is the book for you. Vera Wong 👵🏼will be a character I won’t forget. ✨Synopsis ✨ Vera Wong is a lonely little old lady, who lives above her forgotten tea shop in the middle of San Francisco’s Chinatown. Despite living alone, Vera is not needy, oh no. She likes nothing more than sipping on a good cup of Wulong and doing some healthy detective work on the Internet about what her Gen-Z son is up to. Then one morning, Vera trudges downstairs to find a dead man in the middle of her tea shop. In his outstretched hand, a flash drive. Vera doesn’t know what comes over her, but after calling the cops, she sort of . . . swipes the flash drive from the body and tucks it safely into the pocket of her apron. Why? Because Vera is sure she would do a better job than the police possibly could. WOW friends. THIS BOOK. I felt it in my soul! I finished it some days ago and since then, I’ve been sitting on my thoughts, wondering if I could even come close to writing something good enough to do this book justice. I have to be honest, I expected it to be good. I was super pumped when the book was announced, and I rushed to get it the same day it was released, yet somehow 😱 I only just got around to reading it, and I totally regret not devouring it on the same day. I thought it was so powerful and so beautifully written. Heartbreaking and wonderful all at once🥰. It is absolutely everything I hoped it would be, and a little bit more. I just love when this happens!! Captivating, and full of passion, this book captures a couples journey from how they completely fell apart, to how they found their way back to each other. So much raw emotion wrapped up in this second chance romance 💘. This story deals with very heavy subjects, but they were handled with such care, and executed perfectly in my opinion. I literally went on a roller coaster of emotions, and fell in love with the characters 😍. My love for this book will last forever, just like Yasmen’s and Josiah’s ❤️❤️❤️. I am SO HAPPY this is a series!!! This has to be Kennedy Ryan’s best book yet. This book is one I always recommend to people. I don’t even remember where, or when exactly I picked it up, but once I read it, I was absolutely impressed, and taken by the story. I don’t have words to explain it, but one thing I can say is, that this book is truly AMAZING. Have you read it? If you haven’t, I think you definitely should. Float Plan by Trish Doller mini review!

This was an enjoyable read. It deals with love after loss, and grieving after su***de. It’s a journey of personal growth for Anna, who in my opinion was so brave to take on the journey that she did. I’m not sure I would have been able to take on the trip of a lifetime like she did, but it was entertaining to see her go through it, and eventually find love again. One thing that would have made me rate this book a little higher, would have been if the relationship between Anna and Keane, if their chemistry would have been more palpable. I felt it lacking throughout the book, and was hoping for more. Overall a light, easy read. ✨Description✨ Heartbroken by the loss of her fiancé, adventurous Anna finds a second chance at love with an Irish sailor. After a reminder goes off for the Caribbean sailing trip Anna was supposed to take with her fiancé, she impulsively goes to sea in the sailboat he left her, intending to complete the voyage alone. But after a treacherous night’s sail, she realizes she can’t do it by herself and hires Keane, a professional sailor, to help. Much like Anna, Keane is struggling with a very different future than the one he had planned. Ok you guys, it’s official! I’m reading everything Ali Brady ever comes out with! ✨😍✨ The Comeback Summer is truly a heartwarming, and thought provoking novel of self discovery, and personal growth. The story is unique, and super entertaining. I found both characters very relatable, and I rooted for them both throughout the story. This book was so skillfully written, you would never know this was written by two different people. The story felt real, the sisterhood relationship made me wish I had a sister so badly, and I was totally invested throughout. I found myself laughing out loud in certain parts, and shedding a tear in another. Truly, the depth this story reached was one I didn’t expect, but was very pleased, and surprised to find. The way the secrets were revealed as the story developed blew my mind. So well done! I really enjoyed it. If you haven’t preordered this one, I suggest you do! ❤️ I loved, and was super impressed by Ali Brady’s first novel, The Beach Trap ( I suggest you pick it up too-solid 5🌟star), so when I had the opportunity to participate in their ARC program for their second novel, I was thrilled!
