For dirty Santa this year my gift was a collaboration between myself and my wife’s great uncle Robert Green. Robert passed away this year at age 98. He was a wood worker and bowl turner. I give credit to him for introducing me to wood turning 5 years ago. After he passed I was able to get some of his scraps and offcuts. I used a scrap piece to inlay into a tray for my dirty Santa gift.
Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for your business this year and this Christmas holiday. —-Corey
I’m not a big pen turner. But I think this turned out pretty cool. It’s deer antler.

This was a fun project. I made an offering plate/bowl for my Sunday school class. The rim is made from African Mahogany from my hometown church. It’s a segmented ring representing the different family’s, views, and gifts that come together to form the church. The bottom is made from oak representing the strength from God our faith is based on.
In the spirit of the olympics. These are medal display cases for a friend. The large picture frame is 36 x 34 for a old tournament bracket he had saved. I love spalted maple and really like how it closely matched the paper of the bracket.

These turned out so cool. Yeah they look good in a pic but for something like this it’s 100% tactile. These were sanded to 2500 grit then buffed and polished to a mirror shine. Can’t wait for the customer to get them. In his hands.
Busy day in the shop working on these custom maple burl scales today. Cut up a more bowl blanks this morning.
