This piece was inspired by a photo of a beautiful Pansy that I took during a trip in Michigan a few years ago. The rainbow of bright colors was what caught my eye, and it was a joy to recreate them in this painting.

When I say I squealed when first seeing the reference photos of Ramón it's not an exaggeration. The fluff. The face. The little smile. Too much to handle!

And Ramón absolutely knows this. When discussing his portrait, I was told that he is very playful and a bit of a flirt!
