Did you know that we can trace aromatherapy back approximately 5000 years? Yes, you read that right, FIVE THOUSAND.

There are volumes of information in Egyptian Papyrus showing the use of plants in medicine, cosmetics, & massage! The Egyptians were actually the first to perfect the art of Aromatherapy as the Nile Valley was known as the Cradle of Medicine. A few of the plants that were brought to the area were Cedarwood, Myrrh, Frankincense, & Cinnamon!

The Greeks & Romans also traveled to Egypt to bring back incense and spices. According to records the Greek Soldier’s carried Myrrh with them to treat wounds! About 400-500 BC a medical school was established on the Greek island of Cos, which became famous through the presence of Hippocrates. Hippocrates was known as the “father of medicine” and the one who records show said “the way to health is to have an aromatic bath & scented massage every day.” I don’t know about you, but it sounds to me like Hippocrates knew what he was talking about!! LOL Anywho, the Greeks made an important contribution to the future studies of plant medicine by classifying & indexing the knowledge they had received from the Egyptians.

Further down the road in the 14th & 15th Century in Europe, manuscripts contained reference to herbal oils and how to make them. Around 1530 commercial production of essential oils & perfume compounds began in Grasse, France. By 1600 Cedarwood, Frankincense, Myrrh, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Sage, & Rose were all well known to pharmacists. Many books on distillation were also written during the 16th century, primarily in Germany. By 1900 essential oils were being used by physicians, thus the “golden age of herbs” began and flourished until the arrival of synthetic drugs. Later on in France, around the 1930’s, the shift to our current aromatherapy began!

Over the past 4 years in Business, I have truly loved creating & crafting the Blends you have all come to know and love! From Etsy to Vendor Shows to launching my official website thehealinghausco.org I have done my very best to keep my prices as low as possible. I have a passion for helping others and bringing you a form of relief through my creations!

Everything you find at TheHealingHaus was something I originally created to bring myself the form of relief I needed (sleep support, pain relief, Headache relief, etc..). I say this because I know what it's like to search high and low for effective products that will bring relief, without breaking the bank. As everyone knows, prices are constantly skyrocketing for basic necessities as well as everything else. Over the past few years, I have done everything I can to continue to keep my prices as close to what they were 4 years ago. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case...
As most of you know, I'm a pretty open book & will always be as transparent as possible with my clients. I absolutely refuse to cut corners or settle for lower quality ingredients to craft my products with. It's just not who I am nor what I want my clients using on their bodies!
Recently I've had to come to terms with the fact that if I don't make some pricing increases, I'll have to close down TheHealingHaus, permanently. That is absolutely NOT what my heart wants, as I LOVE being able to bring so many of you relief throughout your daily lives.

With that being said, you will notice that a portion of my Products have increased in price, due to the raw materials they're crafted with increasing within the past few years.

I hope that you know & understand, this is not a decision I took lightly.
I truly love and appreciate you all SO very much. The support you have shown myself and TheHealingHaus over the years makes my heart burst!
I'd also like to say Thank You to every single client that has fit my Small Business into their budget. It truly means more than words can express.
