It's our birthday! THRWBCK SOCIAL is officially a big one year old 🍼 and yes you bet I've had almost as many sleepless nights as an actual parent.

Sleepless nights aside, the last year (although probably the most difficult of my life) has been the most rewarding ever. I am literally obsessed with my job. I can't believe I get to wake up every day and work with THE BEST CLIENTS EVER (you know who you are) 💜

It's been a rollercoaster of emotions, hard work, late nights, early starts, phone calls and texts, endless emails, DM's and comments, a few tears and loads of laughs, and we still have a long way to go... but it has been worth every damn second.

If COVID has taught me anything, it's taught me that comfort zones are SO 2018. Taking a big leap into the great unknown, and chasing a dream which once felt so out of reach has been the biggest and best decision of my life.

It's only onwards and upwards from here ✌🏽

Me and my hot new accessory *social anxiety* enjoying my last weekend of LOCKDOWN after 3 and a bit long months 🤪

The big dogs at IG HQ have called the shots and optimised Instagram's video sharing format! Yep, this is just another way that IG is prioritising video content and if you plan on growing your audience and having your content SEEN, then you'll need to take a good slice of this pie 🥧

To cut all the fluff, Instagram are basically combining IGTV's long-form video and feed videos, now dubbed *drum roll 🥁* Instagram Video, which basically makes everyone's life a little bit easier using the same process to upload long and short-form video to the platform. IG are also gifting us with our very own *new* Instagram Video tab on our profiles, giving audiences an overview of all your video content in the one place (note this does not include Reels, you'll still have a separate tab for those).

Don't forget, the key to success and growth on the Gram is to utilise ALL of its features and keep your audience on the platform for longer (through engaging content, in all forms). So still post Reels and stories, go live, and share educational/entertaining carousels that encourage your audience to swipe and interact ✌🏽
