Well final results are in and the team did Tasman proud!
For a lot of us the end placings werenā€™t what we were aiming for, but with such quality fields we can be proud of how we performed.
Must also say a massive thank you to our supporters who turned up from Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch and even Perth. Having you all come help us and cheer us on was awesome.
We now have the long drive home from Timaru but the planning seems to be on Easter 2025 when the Nationals return to the south in Dunedin!
See you all on the 21st of April at our next event!

Record numbers to tear it up 06/03/2024

Have a read on the upcoming 2024 Grass Kart Nationals being held by South Canterbury Family Kart Club.
We have 7 club members representing Tasman this year. The most weā€™ve ever had attend and our first junior representing our club.

https://www.timarucourier.co.nz/sport/record-numbers-to-tear-it-up/?fbclid=IwAR1bM4DTDFr1nqkU5Gq1Zsmkw5QlYxBWyPNbzcMV4IN08WSb-O6ARytiyvE_aem_AQVchdH3kU7b3TqnSM3zSPJ-n9YXadE2-zmCeU1Bt4MRS4mu4rr6kTvWxFTVrAw_MuE

Record numbers to tear it up South Canterbury is gearing up for some crazy karting chaos when the SJ Allen New Zealand Grass Kart Championship returns to the region. To be held over Easter, the championship will draw a record 250 drivers from across the South Island to tear it up in a Washdyke paddock, with plenty of adrenaline...

Not sure if anyone had as much fun as Brad on the weekend at eastern states speedway.
Massive thanks goes out to them for allowing us the use of their facilities. With such high fire risk in our region this was our only chance to spin some laps.
Thanks also to MTF Finance Richmond for supporting us on race day even when weā€™re over the hill in Marlborough.

We now look forward to our next scheduled event on the 17th March which we will release details as they come.

16/02/2024

EVENT UPDATE!!!!

Hey everyone, Iā€™m sure we all understand the current situation around fire risk and we are doing all we can to provide an event for February.

At this stage we are aiming for an event on,

Saturday the 24th of February in the Blenheim region.

This is subject to confirmation and sorting a few finer details, which we are hoping to receive on Monday.
We just wanted to give you all an update and will release full details as soon as possible.

Thanks from us all on committee

11/02/2024

Hey everyone,
With our next planned event being next Sunday February the 18th we have made the decision to postpone by one week to the weekend of the 24th and 25th of February.
Our reason being, with the current fire risk in our region and the subsequent fire in the lee valley this past week we feel it is our best option to run a fun and safe event for all.
We are doing our best to find options for the delayed date and understand this may not suit everyone.

04/02/2024

After an amazing night of racing at Eastern States Speedway, weā€™d like to say a special thankyou to Chris for controlling the lights and Matt for jumping on the quad, weā€™d be lost without all our volunteers so thank you.

Roll on this weekend,
Come see us this weekend at the Motor show. We will have a stand again this year showcasing our awesome sport. Any members come along and check out the show. Swing past our stand and spin some yarns about your experiences with Tasman Grass Kart club.
Next race event is February the 18th, full details to come.
