Lavender Schmavender Baked Goods

I've been out of touch, and for that, I apologize.

I am back to teaching full time, and this started 2nd semester after winter break. I was hoping taking some time away from my baking would help with the adjustment period. Teaching is so much more than the traditional 40-hour week typically associated with working full-time. I am all in when it comes to my students and my commitment to their success.
This time away from my baking business has made me realize that I can't juggle all the things I want to do and find a balance that also allows me time for my family and just as importantly self-care.
It is with a heavy heart that I've decided to step back from Lavender-Schmavender, at least for the time being with the hopes to return at some point, but at this time, I can't commit as to when that will be.
I want each of you to know that your support of me and my business has meant the world to me. I appreciate each and every one of you! Thank you!

Lavender Schmavender will be back the 1st full week of February.

I have a few new responsibilities at school and need time to adjust my routine.

I enjoy being in my classroom as much as I enjoy being in the kitchen. I just need time to adapt to the new responsibilities at school so I can continue to do both.

What are your traditional holiday baked goods? 😊I'd really like to know. . .

This year, my husband mentioned how much he misses those apricot cookies his mom used to make. Of course, I read between the lines!

I added apricot kolache to this years baking. The look on his face when he arrived home from work yesterday was definitely worth it! ❤️🙌
Some of the other traditional sweets are poppy seed and nut rolls.

Have you experienced the Pecan Pie Scone yet?
It's back, and on the menu this week.

It's just heavenly, as you take that first bite, closing your eyes to savor the delicious balance between sweet, gooey, and nutty.
The scone has bits of pecan with actual pecan pie filling enclosed in the middle and if that's not enough. . . It's finished off with a light layer of brown butter frosting and more candied pecans.
My husband likes it cold but for me there's just something about heating it for 20 seconds in the microwave to intensify the gooey experience. 💞

If you love pecan pie, this is definitely the scone for you!

My apologies for being out of touch, I was so hoping to experiment with some baking ideas as well as reorganize my pantry & classroom over fall break.

Unfortunately, the haboob we had last week put me in quite a tailspin. I've been struggling with vertigo ever since. At this point I hope it dissipates before Fall Break is over.

Oh these are soo good! The crunchy goodness from the oatmeal but tender & chewy inside with that nostalgic flavor of butterscotch. Always make me think of my favorite Auntie ❤️

I had the Best compliment on my newest scone, the blueberry with lemon chips, that it's a must share 😊

"Omg, these lemon/ blueberry are the best. My nephew college age, walked into the cabin grabbed one, stopped in his tracks, with closed eyes and "In heaven look" lol, these are the best things ever. What are they? He said
