Our next release is August 24th for Sector's remix of Oldd English's track, Enigma! And damn it's a banger. We went ahead and did a little Q&A with Sector, Andrew Webber, and he's a very cool dude. Check out his answers below to learn more about this man!

1) How did you come up with Sector?

It basically means “Sectors” of emotions, and my goals are to create sound scapes that reflects different types of feelings I’ve went through or enjoy. I think that’s a good way to put it.

2) How long have you been producing?

I’ve been producing for about 8 years now.

3) Which artists have influenced your music and why?

Super huge list, but some main ones are Zomboy, Daft Punk, Porter Robinson, Phaseone, and Tool. They’re probably my go to every day for inspiration, to pick a part and study, or for personal healing. I think their messages and song ex*****on are inspirational and motivating, at least for me I was able to find my own truths within their discography.

4) Where are you from?

I am from Sacramento CA. I was born in Folsom.. grew up in Cali and still going I guess. I want to eventually move somewhere mountainy.

5) Where would you most like to perform in the world and why?

The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington!! That venue is literal magic. It holds a special place in my heart, and I think it’s beautiful. There is definitely this “vibe” there that I really enjoy.

6) what is your favorite thing about making music?

That’s a tough one. I’d say being able to find something you resonate with, something that wouldn’t exist without you touching it. It could be a lyric, or a sound, for me, finding these things “tune” my soul and it can enforce a lot of positive moods. Especially if you’re exploring through a lot of rough ideas, finding something that works itself out and reflects you is a pretty rewarding feeling!

7) Any big music announcements in the near future?

Certainly! It’s been about a year since I’ve put out anything project wise, I took this time to really work on my sound. I’m happy to say an EP is in the works, and i think it’s a lot of fun.

8.) Which genres do you primarily produce?

What’s funny is I produced strictly house for like 5 years. But now, I primarily make dubstep with melodic interludes. I have a really fun time doing it compared to most genres.

9) Do you have any pets? (If so tell us about them)

Yes, I have a cat with my lady and he’s the CUTEST! His name is Panx, his nick name is P*e Pow. He’s a talkative, loving kitty, who only licks upon contact. We have a kitten on the way that is his daughter :)

10) Is there anything you want to tell the world?

Love is the heaviest matter in the universe.
