Helpful hint for entry level Sonographers:
To determine the GB from the IVC in both a supine and LLD patient, use color to assist you in identifying anatomy correctly.

The terms alias, and nyquist limit indicate that the receiving is higher than the amplified wave.
It is important to understand the FULL concept rather than just the "definition" or what they "look like."
In the image, the color has aliased due to the scale being set too low and the pulse wave is higher returning than the initial pulse- indicating gain is too high, and scale is too low.
Slow down, correct your settings and see a normal vessel beautifully.
