This is what I needed to hear before I sat down to do revisions today.
After taking three months to rework my outline, clarify character motivations, and plug plot holes, I'm writing the second draft of my small town crime mystery, The Lost Boy. (formerly Bittersweet Home)

For the past few weeks, I've struggled with editing my WIP, and wondered what's the point. Got my mojo back while home sick with a cold this weekend. Realized I write first for myself, second for my friends and family, and thirdly for anyone else who'll read my words. Whether I sell a five books or five hundred, I'll still write, because I enjoy making up stories. It's fun, when I let it be.
