Here we are again with a beautiful piece of history from the 1930s to brighten this spring day a little more. This uranium (vaseline) glass pitcher is such a beautiful green.
Hard to believe that depression glass was given for free in Canada and the US!!! Food manufacturers and soap manufacturers would include free glass dishes along with their products! Now some depression glass pieces are sold for hundred of dollars. There is a small crack in the glass, so I'm letting this one go cheaper. 🙂 It's hardly noticeable though and no water leaks from it. This would be a showstopping piece to display.

This pattern was made between 1936 and 1946. The plate glows under a UV light.

Reichenbach Lidded Vegetable Serving Dish. Made in GDR East Germany. Porcelain Fine China. $125

The base of the bowl bears the crowned “R” surrounded by the laurel branches over the words “fine china, made in GDR”; identifying the time frame to about 1949 to 1977.

The bowl measures 4-1/8” to the top of the lip, an opening of 5-3/8” and a base diameter of 4-3/4”. With the lid on it measure 6” to the top of the finial.
