人只要有活动，都会有意外受伤的风险，即使呆在家当“坐家”，也可能不小心跌倒损伤。

运动爱好者，意外受伤更是十之八九的事，小至扭伤，大致骨折，实在防不胜防。

因此，当我们因一些小意外受伤，例如扭伤，跌伤，割伤，撞伤而到诊所就医，或者到医院挂急诊，经医生治疗后无需留院的话 ，可不可以使用医药卡索赔？

答案：当然可以！

只要您的医药卡里有一项称为紧急意外门诊治疗（Emergency Accidental Outpatient Treatment）的选项，那在发生意外受伤后，无论是到医院急诊部或私人诊所就医，即使没有住院留医，您都是可以使用医药卡来进行医药索赔的。

不过要提醒的时，您必须在意外受伤的24小时内立即接受治疗，千万不要拖延。否者不但不能索赔，伤势还可能危及生命而得不偿失。

另外，保客也必须先自己先支付医药费，之后建议在30天内通过您的保险代理来向保险公司索赔，也就是Pay first Claim later的模式。

最后，意外受伤是没有等待期的，只要您的医药卡一生效，就可以提出紧急意外门诊治疗的索赔了。

【百格快讯】吉打专科医生何国全指出，私人医院治疗冠病的医药费高昂，甚至可以“天价”形容，因此促请公众保护好自己，不要染上冠病。
