is a licensed, 501(c)3 dog rescue. We strive to save the lives of the forgotten black dogs from high-kill shelters that are overlooked by the "Black Dog Syndrome". We rehabilitate them and place them into their new forever homes. We also take in owner-surrenders, neglected, abused, and drop-offs. The dogs that we take into our rescue are placed into home foster based care until they find the best

Our boy Ace needs to find a new foster home at NO FAULT OF HIS OWN. The resident dog is just a little too possessive of her mom and not really into Ace getting in on the attention.
Ace's current foster mom says he is incredibly sweet, has good house manners, comes when called, sits, slept all night, and goes to the door when he needs to potty.
Ace is approximately 8 months old, not yet neutered, current on vaccinations and a happy go lucky boy. If you're interested in fostering or foster to adopt please contact us ASAP!
WE NEED TO MOVE HIM SO NO ONE HAS ANYMORE STRESS
If you can't foster PLEASE SHARE!

Merry Christmas from the BIBDR team.
Jackson didn't get his home for Christmas but he's hopeful he will get one soon. Until then, he is still hanging out with the wonderful crew at Lead Your K9 ❤🎄🎅
Sharing from our friends at Hillside SPCA. We know some awesome trainers at Lead Your K9 😁
One of the top reasons we see dogs come in is because they’re too hyper, poorly socialized or have no manners. It’s extremely important as a pet owner to make sure you’re putting the time and energy into training with your dog. What sounds like a whole lot of effort now will pay off down the road. Training provides structure for your dog, creates a bond and helps keep them safe. We cannot stress enough just how important it is.
Resharing our boy, Jackson. 💙
We have a bit of a good update to add, also: His wonderful handlers at LYK9 have been walking him on a harness (rather than a collar) and it seems to be helping as he’s not dragging his feet nearly as much anymore!
The bad news: Jackson is getting bored. He wants to find his family to love and spoil him 24/7!
Will you give Jackson his forever?
Pretty please?
How about a home for Christmas? 🎄
Please share, share, share!! 🐾
And we wouldn’t have it any other way. 💞
Sharing this handsome fella again as he still has no inquiries 😔. He has been with our friends at Lead Your K9 for some time now and doing well. He is a sweet goofball. He likes LYK9 but would love a family of his own.
💙 Jackson 💙
Jackson has spent some time at our friends, Lead Your K9, and is now seeking a permanent hospice foster OR adopter.
Jackson needs:
🔹 No children under 15
🔷 No other dogs in the home
🔹 No cats
🔷 Low-key/less-active lifestyle
🔹 Endless love
As most of our fans know, Jackson has a cyst on his spine. Unfortunately, it’s causing nerve damage to the point where he has started to drag his front feet.
He’s had an MRI done over a year ago, which is how we know his diagnostics. With that said, the surgery is no guarantee to remove it, as it’s in a less than likely location for removal, and these cysts are known for growing back. After several opinions, we have concluded to not force Jackson into a long and invasive procedure/recovery.
This is progressive, thus, Jackson is seeking a home where he can get all the loving and cuddles he can get until he can no longer walk. He is SUCH a happy and loving boy, and will still need light exercising/play time as he is a hound dog ~ however, Jackson will not be the “let’s go hiking” type of dog, so please keep that in mind.
If you, or someone you know, think would be a great candidate for giving Jackson the best care while he’s still with us, please have them reach out to us on FB or email [email protected].
Jackson is up-to-date on vaccines and neutered.
Did you know that black dogs are the most overlooked in shelters, often the last to be adopted, and one of the first to be euthanized? This is due to the misconception that black dogs don’t photograph well, that they look evil, they appear aggressive and are just not as pretty as lighter or multicolored dogs. Help end this tragic stigma by adopting a black dog! Let's show the world that black dogs are just as photogenic as any other dog, and worthy of being treasured and adopted. 🐾❤️

We thought you would all love an update on our girl, Carmen. She’s settling in really well with her K9 brother and new family. ♥️
Resharing as our boy Jackson hasn’t had a single person inquire about him. 🥺
Awesome rescue story 🤍

We couldn’t be more ecstatic to announce that this wonderful Jr. Trainer at Lead Your K9 has officially adopted our girl, Carmen!
Nicolette has been a part of Carmen’s journey since the beginning, and the thought of Carmen no longer being there wasn’t something she could live with, so she took her home!
Happy tails, Carmen. 🐕🦺♥️
**PENDING ADOPTION!!**
🔊 BIG NEWS! 👏
The day has come! Our wonderful friends at Lead Your K9 have been fostering/training our girl Carmen for the past 2+ years, and now, she is ready for her own forever home!
It’s been a crazy, incredible journey watching this dedicated and hard working team build this girl up from an almost completely feral dog to one that actually will seek attention from humans!
Her forever home should:
♥️ Have another dog/dogs in the home
♥️ No kids under 10
♥️ Fenced yard required
♥️ Cats likely okay, but hasn’t been tested
Carmen is:
✔️ Spayed
✔️ UTD on vaccines
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ 3 years young
Adoption Process:
▪️ Complete online application here: www.backinblackresq.org
▪️ Attend meet/greet at LYK9 Facility
▪️ Additional courses/classes may be required, TBD by LYK9 Facility
▪️ Adoption
Have questions? Email us at [email protected] or shoot us a private message.
Who is going to be the lucky winner to snap this girl up and give her the home she’s been working so hard for?
Adoption Fee: $400 (the level of training + all vetting completed doesn’t even touch this amount, this is a bargain!)
How cute!
*Update on Jackson: 4/18/21*
To say the staff at Lead Your K9 are superheroes is an understatement. They saw our post pleading for placement for Jackson and stepped up to the plate so we could get him out of the situation he was in.
Special thanks to our own team member, Angel, for being Jackson’s transportation to LYK9 facility this morning!
His journey doesn’t end here.
We need YOUR help now!
Jackson still needs a foster or adopter. He’s being boarded at LYK9 to give us more time to find him the right home, and in the meantime, we know he’s in the best of hands while we search.
He’s also needing funds for food and his boarding. We don’t know how long he will be there, but we really want to compensate the facility for their time in caring for Jackson. No amount is too small!
Meals: Approximately $40/month
*Any amount after his meals are covered will be put towards boarding expenses.
PayPal: [email protected]
Please keep sharing our boy.
He deserves the world!
Happy National Pet Day! Show us your cuties 👇
Good morning, from our girl Carmen 🖤
Who's with me? 🙋♀️
