The Empty Spot....
For years Phatty would sit at one end of the couch , and I at the other.. Our *spots*.......
and now her *spot* is empty...
The others doggos do not understand that our girl is gone...
and they leave her *spot* empty and open....so she can lay in it if she comes back..
because it is her *spot*...
and they do not understand that our girl is gone...
and my girl will never lay in her spot again...
and it will remain empty......

VOLUNTEER POST.....This is my girl *Phatt Daisy* .. I Love my baby soo much.. My girl is in the process of transitioning... We are lying together on the couch.. She is as comfortable as possible. If needed we will have her humanly euthanized We are Praying for a Peaceful Transition at home so she can be among *the crew* .. ..Can you Please Help towards my babys Cremation costs? I am sorry to ask... but would be even more sorry to have to bury her alone..

: I have had people asking how I am doing so I thought I would give a quick update.
After almost 3 months of being confined to a wheelchair I was Finally allowed to start trying to stand up with the use of a walker last Saturday. Honestly, it was a struggle as I was trying to use muscles that had not been used for awhile.. waa waa waa I know...
The first time I tried I was able to stand for 4 (four) seconds.... It Was Awesome! To be honest I got a little misty eyed as it had been soo long and it was Such a Relief to Finally be able to stand upright again.
Fast forward to today (one week later) .. Today I was able to stand for 6 minutes straight --- and was able to lift my right foot off the ground about 1/4 of an inch and move it 2 inches to the right and back again.. I was also able to take my hands off the walker handles for about 10 seconds at a time--meaning I was Literally standing on my own two feet :) ...(I call these improvements *monkey tricks* haha)

UPDATE: Status in my area was just Upgraded to *Normal* and we are No Longer Under *Evacuation Warning*..... Phew! The Official News honestly made me a little Teary Eyed (with relief) but we will blame the tears on the smoke haha....

F.Y.I. .. My home is currently under a Level 2 *Evacuation Warning* Status due to the Fire. We are still at home--but-- if our status should change to an *evacuation order* we will be forced to leave..
In the event that I do have to evacuate I will NOT be able to update the Facebook sites after that as I will Not have a way to do so . I do Not have a Smart Phone and will be very limited on space in my truck to bring *extras* like laptops etc.. Main and Only focus will be getting our animals and us out safely and alive.. In that case the sites will come to a standstill until ???
Hopefully it will not come to us having to evacuate......

QUICK UPDATE : We are still here and truly appreciate all your kind words of comfort and Prayers...We are still under Evacuation Warning . The smoke is super think and all our eyes are burning... But, we are Truly Blessed that we are (so far) still at Home , and all together.. All we can do is wait and see...
Son just went to get Gas in the vehicle. He pulled crates for the dogs/cats out of the shed earlier in case we have to evacuate... We are under *Evacuation Warning* at this time...
California is burning.. Canada is burning.. Animals are dying.. People are dying... Families are losing their homes....It is all soo tragic..
Please say a Prayer for the Firefighters to keep them Safe and that they will make it back home again to their families.. Please Think *Good Thoughts* for those who have lost everything and have to start all over again...Please send *good vibes and energy* to those that are near one of the fires paths and might have to evacuate at any time, and that they, and their animals, make it Safely Out if and when the time to evacuate comes...
These are Scary, Worrisome Times for a Lot of people, myself included, and knowing that there are people *out there* doing everything possible to Stop The Fires, and Praying for those affected by them, Helps in more ways then you can imagine..
I do NOT live in Wasco . However, where I do live is in the path of a current major fire and evacuations are going on in surrounding communities.. The sky is gray and the air thick with smoke.. Eyes are burning, nerves are frayed.. Whenever the text alert goes off on the phone, and the Red *Emergency Alert* Screen is seen , cannot help but wonder if *this is it* ,do we need to evacuate. now? Will we be able to get all our Fur Babies out to Safety? Where will we go? What can we do? and me still being confined to a wheelchair does not help ease the worry... Mind boggling.....
One Day At A Time becomes One Hour At A Time...A Few Minutes At A Time .. Stay Safe Everyone....

I just realized that I never updated about the Husky we found.. Whoops..
I am happy to say that COCOA was Claimed by his owners the very same day. Phew!
Always UPDATE TAGS and MICROCHIPS.. Cocoas tags and microchip information went back to his Previous owner so that did not help at all.. His GPS Tracking Tag was not working properly either. Luckily I had called the shelter as well and gave them my info in case the owner came looking. The owner went there, got my info, and soon after they were reunited..

This Big Boy was running my fence line today driving my doggos crazy. Son brought him in and he is currently kenneled up by the cooler..
My question is WHY he is even here at all? He has an I.D. Tag with his name, a tag with owners first name AND a G.P.S. Tracker... Phone goes straight to voice mail. Left a message via text and voice message...
ahh, I know why he is out and running Amok.... Intact Male... That says it all

Re-cap --fell May 7th resulting in multiple fractures in my right ankle.. Had surgery May 24th to install plates/screws/rods?
QUICK LITTLE UPDATE on me (for those who are wondering).....
Got my 2nd cast off on Monday and all the Staples removed. Dr. gave me a ?*walking boot* --which is Ironic since he told me I am Not allowed to walk for 2 more months..(he does Not even want me using crutches etc--only the wheelchair).. The boot is mainly to Protect my ankle... I am allowed to sleep with it off which is Totally Awesome...
All in All, moving Forward and making progress..... 🙂
side note: Stopped taking most the meds (including the addictive Op**te) within 3 days of surgery... Still taking a Nerve Blocker and one other (to prevent Blood Clots due to not being able to move around much)....

Sent son to the Feed Store to pick up new wrap bandages for my foot/leg...The clerk recommend something so that it would not be bit or chewed.. My son explained the bandages were for his mom ..
And the clerk said *whelp, if they work on a horse they should work on your mom* ..... and he and my son laughed and laughed and laughed...
oh- ha ha!
I will try not to Bite or Chew at it....

The swelling in my foot / leg has gone down quite a bit! Yea... still quite colorful...
Surgery was scheduled for last Friday (5/17) to put the plates/pins/rods in but was called off 2 hours before I was scheduled to have it due to an Insurance issue... Boo.....
Looks like surgery might be back on for this week! Yea!
Thank goodness my son is here to help or I don;t know what I would do......
