Youth Business Forum with New elected Leadership .👏🏻👏🏻 women on top⚔️🛡
The Business forum extends a warm welcome to the newly elected council led by Mayor elect Cllr. Lindi Nhaca, Deputy Mayor Cllr. Thulani Ntuli and speaker Cllr. Dolly Govendor. We look forward to working together in the prosperous KwaDukuza area.
We are confident that your influence as council will be instrumental in the work of advancing change through out the district. At this time we are in favour of Women On Top initiatives that focus on reproductive rights, domestic violence , equal pay, sexual harassment and sexual violence. We trust that such initiatives have your support.
As the business forum we are in aid of young entrepreneurs in our area, as we believe that entrepreneurship is one of the instruments we need to use to reduce the high unemployment rate in our local municipality. We hope that the newly elected council shares the same sentiment in tackling the issues at hand in our area.

Statement by the Kwadukuza Youth Business Forum
Today 19th July 2021, the Kwadukuza Municipality Youth Business forum embarked on a walkabout/inspection of businesses within the Kwadukuza Local, following the recent public unrest and protests.
The impact of COVID-19 on businesses in the KwaDukuza Local Municipality was devastating and, more than one year later, businesses big or small continue to struggle.
As we fight the current pandemic COVID - 19, our country was faced with a second pandemic of our province & country going on a complete unrest shutdown, which saw many businessses being looted and vandalized by the public. As representatives of businesses in KwaDukuza, such programmes of action showcase that government are aware of the current issues and together with the help of the forum are readily available to ensure that businesses in KDM survive post such pandemics.
This is the first of many steps we have taken in order to extend the necessary support to local businesses. We call on every youth owned business to reach out to us if they have also been affected by these protests and would like for us to visit them and offer them the same support.
Our sole purpose as a structure is to be a voice for youth owned businesses and a bridge between them and public sector.
Ends.
