Decided to ditch the plastic baby gate and make a more permanent solution for the dogs...swings 180 degrees so I can either block the stairs or keep them on the bedroom side

My name is Alan Hammack Jr. and I follow in my grandfathers footstep's with a passion for woodworking. Bring life to your home with any number of the handmade, one of a kind, pieces of functional art I create through woodworking. Nothing but love and passion goes into every piece I make and I hope they bring joy to all who support me and buy my products. These are some examples of my work including wine racks, coaster sets, lazy susans, charcuterie trays, hand turned pens and more. No two items are the same and everything is completely customizable with an array of exotic and domestic wood choices.
How could you not love some Redheart and Ambrosia Maple?? Holding 7 bottles and tons of style. Really happy with this wine rack that just finished drying. Dovetail keys are not just for looks either, being a functional structure holding this beauty together. This one is spoken for but I've got another in Afromosia and Maple almost done!
A few of this weeks turning projects. Two pens and the beginnings of my purpleheart joiners mallet. I'm really liking this newly discovered Blue Mahoe wood. The second pen is a Goncalo Alves and Maple laminate I put together.

Throwback! Found these old pictures of one of my very first projects from about 5? years ago. As a professional mechanic I decided to take these two wheels and make pine stools out of them
Live edge antique sewing table I finished up last week. This is a "White" brand sewing table, I have another Singer treadle base in process. Cleaned and restored the original paint on the cast iron base with anti-corrosive oil. Live edge one piece top made with Sycamore. Finished with stain, Danish oil, and polyurethane.
I used to see the ads on Instagram and I I didn't pay much attention to it....but once I tried it out, I was amazed. To anyone who is on the fence about this brand...This is the best sandpaper I've ever used. Once you try it you'll never go back to anything else, so you've got to get some.
Thank you to all the heroes that stood tall that day and every day the past 20 years fighting for me at war. This country and every citizen who calls it home will forever be indebted for your sacrifice.
Finished this pen up as a gift for my wife's first day of nursing school tomorrow(: This stabilized Blue Mahoe is gorgeous. The other two from today are Olivewood and Spalted Tamarind.
Fresh batch of silky smooth Oregon Myrtlewood bowls ready to put finish on.
I need everyone's help.. .let's make Woodturning Tuesday a thing and see what everyone is working on! 🤓
Just finished this special request...rotating headband rack for my wife. Realized it would work great for necklaces too. Center post is purpleheart that was turned by hand and completely handmade.
Also pictured is an Ambrosia maple turned bowl that was this evenings other project.

These are my hexagon wine racks! Each rack will hold 7 standard bottles of wine and can sit flat, or be hung on the wall.
The contrasting dovetail keys add strength and beauty to these pieces, matching the bottle supports.

The second rack pictured (Light tan in color), is made with the primary wood being Ambrosia Maple, with Black Walnut bottle supports/dovetail keys.
I have a couple more in production, but can be made to order with your choice of over a dozen species of wood and completely customizable.

A longtime friend and now customer of mine has become a painter over the past few years. He painted this awesome sunflower gramophone and asked if I could make him a set of coasters that match the painting This is how it turned out! Made with African Paduak and Hard Maple. I'm very pleased with the result and so is the customer.
