BETH ELLIOTT FOR DUPONT CITY COUNCIL VOTER PAMPHLET STATEMENT
Statement: When I moved to DuPont 25 years ago, I searched for a community that was safe, well-kept and beautiful. We have parks, trails, sidewalks, open space and a friendly neighborhood feel. As we grow, I want to maintain and enhance our quality-of-life: public safety, community programs, facilities, services and our natural enviro
The election has been certified and I am so excited to be serving as a city council member of DuPont. Once I have an official email I will share it on DuPont forums so people know how to contact me.
Thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve our city.
It's amazing what one can find when going out for a walk in DuPont. Recently, Susan Walton, Judy, my wife, and I walked down Mounts Road to the National Wildlife Refuge. A car was slowing down right beside us. We stopped and the driver rolled down her window and we started chatting.
She was driving her father, Stan Yehle, around his old hometown of DuPont. Yehle Village is named for Stan's family, who had a homestead in the area.
Stan was also best friends with Kenny Braget. I remember going on hayrides on Kenny's tractor when we first moved to DuPont. Kenny was a man before his times. He understood the importance of being a steward of our environment. You can find his book "For the Good of the Order: The Braget Farm and Land Use in the Nisqually Valley" in our DuPont Historical Museum.
We had a delightful chat with Stan and his daughter. If you haven't walked down Swan Loop and out the gate to walk on Mounts Road, this time of the year is a beautiful time to do so. We are so fortunate to have this open land right outside our back door.
Good morning, DuPont! As I was reading our local newspaper, The Tacoma News Tribune, I came across this legal notice about the South Parcel mine expansion Environment Impact Statement (EIS.) This legal notice is the city's official request for public comments on the Scope of the EIS.
If you have already submitted comments, thank you. If not, here is an opportunity to provide your comments through another means (you may still email Barb Kincaid at [email protected].)

Thanks everyone for your support. I am excited to be moving forward to the Nov 3rd General Election.
We all deserve a break so I have removed my campaign signs from public roads. I will put them back up on the public roads after Labor Day.
Some people have chosen to keep their yards signs up and some have taken them down until after Labor Day.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
Here are Friday's results of the primary.
I just want to thank everybody for their support. I greatly appreciate it.
In August I'll be taking some time off from campaigning. However, in September I will be back knocking on your doors and listening to your thoughts and concerns.
If you have any thoughts you'd like to share with me now, please message me on my campaign page or send an email to my campaign email.
The first batch of votes has been counted. With 55.92% of the vote I will be in the November general election. Thank you all for your belief that I will protect and enhance our quality of life through responsible growth.
