With the announcement that we can now rentas wherever, I officially brought Ipoh to our home with this classic HOR FUN.

Mom and grandma says it’s restaurant quality, but the real test will be next week when my MIL comes down.

Tapi I rasa InsyaAllah I will continue to be her best daughter in law.

Coz I’m the only one. No one can ever come close. 🤣🤣

I was crazy happy to receive this surprise last Friday. Work has been a ticking bomb of deadlines and sleep is short because I force to compensate the stress with K Drama So yeah, I so welcomed this 🙈

By the time September ends, I am foreseeing a slightly larger Diyana, but more sweet I’m sure haha. Thank you for the crazy sedap bakes ❤️❤️ InsyaAllah kita semua lepas ni

Baked goods are from 😍 Macam reunion bila dapat delivery! Hope the weekend has been good for everyone!

Merdeka buns made by the little one. Walnut for mummy and raisins for Omar. His love for raisins matches my dislike-ness for it 🤣🤣🤣 He SUPER loves it, and I SUPER opposite love it.

But that’s kinda what living together means, I guess. Respecting each others’ love and interest. Accepting them seadanya, tanpa paksaan to share your believes, thoughts, etc.

Malaysia I’m grateful for you! Walaupun 20 tahun dulu I would’ve found every way possible to leave you. But today, despite the craziness within the country, you have still allowed me to grow in this diversity and opened my eyes, ears and thoughts to be a better person.

Looking forward to Malaysia. Coz we’re really

Resorting to even easier meals in my feat to squeeze in the many hats I need to wear today.

Here’s a one pot pasta recipe from Cookidoo which never fails. Flexible too!coz I’d play around with the different veggie combo and it still is as awesome as my first time making it.

Raya is creeping in, what’s your menu plan??

04/05/2021

Kinda an insane day today with back to back meetings and upcoming cookie making session, hence need the sugar rush to kick up energy level.

Going bananas with a side of ‘s Pengat Pisang . All I took was 15 mins to cook! Dump everything in the and I could reheat Omar’s dinner on the stove and feed him at the same time. 🌈

How was your day?

27/04/2021

It will be aMAIZEing! Just like this bubur jagung, a recipe from our very own Recipe Quin

We’re half way there from completing Ramadan. It’s never too corny to say thank you to everyone for the adventure and be grateful to everything that you have.

MasyaAllah! Never in my life would I have ever thought I could make this dessert - MUAH CHEE.

So so pleased to share this with you!

I found out today that muah chee is considered ‘peasant’ food. Maybe it’s from the simplistic ingredients and the way it is made, but my gosh, the taste is off the charts for me.

Sis kasi 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. InDiyanas, silalah cuba.

Muah Chee joined in a big spread today. In 2 hrs we rocked the kitchen with repeat offenders
: Korean Fried Chicken
: Stir fry beans with belacan
: Butter + Milk Chicken

And managed to solat, clean up the kitchen and hold a photo shoot for these dishes. Love all the time with my

meals

Korean Fried Chicken for 2 consecutive weekends. This time to celebrate another birthday.

I may be dry in the kdrama area these days, but k-food is still alive and very much kicking at home 😅

Any kdrama suggestions for me to indulge in? Pls help this ahjumma!

Anyway, back to the dish, My tip to this recipe is to omit or use very little vinegar to this. You’d want a tinge if tangy-ness but definitely not one that overpowers the dish entirely.

Happy that everyone enjoyed it, even though I only managed to steal a drummet for myself.

Ola! Que pasa?!

Celebrating the weekend with this Spanish Flan recipe from Cookidoo to celebrate (yet again) ‘ birthday as well as my first TM6 customer ‘s. Feliz cumpleanos ladies.

Missing the celebration physically today to tend to my snotty and imbalanced child 😔. But I celebrate in spirit and with my spread at home. Hehe. Lav you longtaim even though you don’t watch enough kdramas. 😁

Spanish flan met kek batik for dessert from .cartel. Like BTS says “oh my my my, oh my my my, you get me high so fast..”

Did we miss a posting yesterday? 🤭

for Ramadan day 10. We make up for what we didn’t cook yesterday with 3 dish spread all under 1 hour!

Thai Steamed Fish with Lime
Stir fry Kacang Panjang
Sambal Belacan

Thai steamed fish to commemorate birthday. Happiest of birthday to you! Your positive vibes never stopped shining since we were in our teens. May He bless you in ABUNDANCE with barakah love happiness wealth and everything you wish for ❤️

Today’s spread is also inspired by ‘s ramadan kit. Swipe left for our spread tonight, repurposed kain batik from JamuGlo for the kampung feelssss

Thank you for always making me go over my limits in errthang. 🌈 we hope today is the day we can say goodbye to citrus allergy 😂

Chin up, Buttercup! Today’s dish was inspired by Omar’s constant merengek-ness whenever he is bored. No amount of BTS videos or time played building Lego ‘swimming pools’ can ever be right.

Tapi this BUTTER AND MILK CHICKEN, was a ‘no complaint’ zone (cue song playing in the background)

Habis. Licin. “Omar sayang Mummy” was even uttered 🤣🤣

I think I’ve made this dish 1,564 kali since we got the TM6. It fits perfectly with my aim at making this Ramadan. So so always.

On days that you just wanna relax and ‘not cook’, this Sambal Petai Prawn recipe is great to fall back on.

Today was that day that I had no energy to cook, clean, shower, or get out of bed 🤣 Post korean food hangover from yesterday’s birthday celebration

Today’s cooking session needed 0 brain energy as I let Cookidoo lead the way. 30mins later dish is ready and ‘pot’ is cleaned!

50g cooking oil
80g shallots
4 garlic cloves
5 candlenuts (buah keras)
20g belacan
10 dried chillies, rinsed/soaked/deseeded

200g prawns

Are you getting Jiggae on your Day 5? Kimchi Jiggae is here to ‘save’ the day 😅

Alhamdulillah our house is always overflowing with rezeki. Jiggae was accompanied by typical korean spread Tteokbokki, Cheese Ramyeun, Korean Fried Chicken and hot hot rice.

Happy Birthday and !

Thank you my ahjumma sifu for guiding me through making this dish. Lav you to korea and back. You’re my Seoul sister!

15/04/2021

Day 3, How have you ‘bean’? 😁

This dish is my new go-to when I’m desperate for time. 10 mins to cook, 10 mins to pre clean. Too easy that I think this would accompany our too.

13/04/2021

There’s something different about Ramadan this year. At least it feels that way for our family.

We’ve been reminded of the many blessings upon blessings received leading up to this day. Hoping to approach Ramadan differently this year and moga dapat istiqomah til the end.

Choosing easy meals too so that I can focus and have more time for what matters most this month.

Teh Tarik was our obvious choice for the first day - having something warm and sweet to comfort our tummies and recharge us at the same time is a 😄

My fave combo, tweaked from Cookidoo’s Pulled Tea recipe:
14 tea bags
120ml evaporated milk
170ml condensed milk
Pinch of salt

How was your 1st day and ?

What happens when you discover a great recipe on Cookidoo?

It becomes a family favourite. And You make it over and over 😅 This is my third time making it in the past 7 days.

Most of us are feeling under the weather and this is just perfect with the right kinda soupy-ness and flavour.

What’s your go-to comfort food when feeling under the weather?

Not only did we have for breakfast, but we met Butter the iguana at our demo today!

How can I top this demo experience next?

Btw, thank you for layaning my obsession with puns. Puns get me so egg-xcited, no yolk about it!

To all the movers, the makers, the hustlers, the shakers,
To those who shout loud, who stand strong, and when needed those who quietly move on,
To those who build empires, move mountains, push boundaries, raise babies, make memories, refuse to take no for an answer,
You are the ladies paving the way for a new generation who are ready to play.
Stand tall and stand proud for all that you are,
Not what the media says you should be or could be, but the you that is here, standing now and amazing.

There are multiple ways to make your rice in the mix, but let’s save that for another session ok.

See you soon in my next recipe posting!
