Just letting all our wonderful cast, crew, audience members and supporters know, that in December TEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS was presented to the Merimbula Rural Fire Brigade - their share of the profit made from our independent production of "Mother and Son". Sincere thanks to you all for participating in or supporting our show and enabling the sum total of $16000 to be donated between our two causes. We were thrilled and proud to present this wonderful play!

AND that's a wrap! Our dear Mother and Son has come to a close. Thank you to our talented cast and crew, our appreciative audiences, our excellent ushers, all businesses and groups who supported us with venues, equipment, materials, promotion and encouragement, all individuals who donated money or time to help our cause. It has been a joy to be part of all this and once things are finalized we look forward to announcing how much money will go to the Merimbula RFS and to SLOkids. Thank you everyone!

Proud to say that a share of the profits from our "Mother and Son" production will go to the SLO Kids Program. Here is why:
"SLO Kids forms part of Sapphire Life Opportunities, a charity in Merimbula, whose principal purpose is to address social isolation in the context of health, social wellbeing, and self-esteem.
At SLO we run three main programs for children. An After School Care, a Holiday Club and a Community Play Group.
Our goal with these programs is to come along side parents and support them in whatever way that we can. We believe that we are stronger when we are a part of a community and so these programs are more than just meeting a need but about building relationships with both the parents and children.
All money donated to SLO Kids would go towards upgrading our outdoor kids play area.

How good is this! The local RFS is one of the good causes that will share in the profits from our upcoming play "Mother and Son" by Geoffrey Atherden.
