I'd like to take this time to say MAHALO to all those that voted for next season's Board of Directors! Your voice matters and helped steer this club into a more competitive future! Without further ado, I'd like to welcome your 2024 Board of Directors:

President: Oden Rae
Vice President: Vacant *special election to be held TBA*
Secretary: Jordan Lewis
Treasurer: Jessica Sands
Equipment Manager: Robert Nelson

Although the VP position has yet to be filled, rest assured we will continue to move forward shaping this club to be successful and fun! If you feel up to the task, reach out to President-Elect Oden and discussions will be held at the transitional Board Meeting TBD.

I'd like to welcome new board member and Equipment Manager, Robert! You come with a lot of paddling experience and a drive to care for our fleet of canoes and equipment. I look forward to seeing you put that into action next season!

Welcome to our new President, Oden! You have an extensive career and passion for competitive paddling and I know you will lead us with that passion! I look forward to seeing where and how high we go with you at the helm!

Lastly, a hearty MAHALO to out-going Equipment Manager Caryl Hosler! You gave a tremendous effort in 2023 to ensure our equipment was maintained, repaired, and accounted for ON TOP of being a strong paddler and racer! I look forward to paddling with you more next year!

Congratulations to our new Board of Directors! I wish you well and good luck! We are in good hands! I'll say again, that it has been a pleasure presiding over this club the past four years. I've learned so much about myself and all of you and I look forward to paddling, teaching and racing with you in 2024!

Well, that puts a literal wrap on the season! The canoes can now rest for the winter safely thanks to allowing us a space on their property. Many mahalos to them for their gracious donation of land until our next season begins! April can't come soon enough! Stay strong and as always... IMUA BOO!! 🤙🏼

CALLING ALL PADDLERS!! Saturday November 4th at 530pm, we need your strength to load our canoes onto the trailer for the Winter Season! Grab some friends and please comment below if you can make it! The canoes will be de-rigged so all we need to do is a little heavy lifting to the bottom rack of the trailer. Many hands make for lighter work! Mahalo!

No club paddle tonight. Who's in for Tuesday?

Aloha BOO! Due to consistent unhealthy smoke levels and a lack of required numbers of paddlers, we are suspending practices until after Labor Day Weekend. If participation continues to decline, we will extend the suspension until Fall kicks in and smoke hopefully goes away and we can get some Autumn paddles in. That said, a couple of us paddled OC1 yesterday and the river is LOOOOOW. Stay tuned for any further updates and/or decisions. Be well and have a fun and safe holiday weekend! 🤙🏼- Todd

Aloha Paddling Ohana... we share the heartbreak for all of the loss experienced by our Hawaiian Ohana in Lahaina, Maui. The devastation cannot be put into words. It is our kuleana (responsibility) to help those in dire need. Please consider donating to the Maui Strong Fund to assist those that lost everything.
