Craft activities such as this involve using the small muscles in the hands and fingers, promoting the development of fine motor skills. Cutting, gluing, and manipulating various materials help improve the children’s hand-eye coordination and dexterity! ✨👩‍🎨🖌️

CHRISTMAS COOKIES 🎄🍪

Fostering creativity, improving motor skills, and creating memorable childhood experiences with some festive baking at Christmas time! This activity offered a chance to learn about traditions, practice following instructions, and enhance social skills through collaboration with their peers!

This morning the children observed the shapes, patterns, and colors used in Aboriginal arts and symbols.
After deep discussion, they were invited to create their own representations of symbols using clay and natural materials. ✨

Across every generation, our Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families.
They are cultural knowledge holders, trailblazers, nurturers, advocates, teachers, survivors, leaders and hard workers.

At Play’s Kool we are honoured to be celebrating and sharing the knowledge and lived experiences of our Elders past and present.

On Wednesday 31st May we will be setting up a small stall at the front of the service to raise funds and awareness for as part of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea!

Our Kindy children have been busy making homemade Honey Joys to sell to our families.

The honey joys will be $1 each and all money raised by the children will be directly donated to the Cancer Council to raise essential funds for people impacted by cancer.
