A retirement card I made for someone. I needed a lot of white space for signing. There are a few things I would change now looking at it. But overall I’m happy with the design. I need to remind myself that alcohol blending markers really bleed through the paper

Made some cards with my MIL when she came in town for a visit. It was a lot of fun to relax and make a few different variations from the new catalogs sets and in colors. Die cuts for the frames. Embossed background. Die cut papers that I curled the paper on the flower edges to give it a popped real look.

My husband asked me to make a card for his bros bday. This was a die heavy project with a lot of cutouts and assembling. There was a learning curve and it took me few tries especially with the colors. But I enjoyed the end product after a few scrapped cards. The inside guy and sentiments are from another set.

Handsomely suited stamps and dies for the front. A good man stamp set for the inside.

A toned down Mother’s Day card on front with. Busy sentiments inside. I forgot to take pics after the inside was stamped with leaves and flowers outlines in their corresponding colors. I also stamped the envelope with Butterfly and hummingbird outlines to be simply but bold. Everything is just stamped except for the popped sentiment of happy which used a simple punch and popped with dimensionals, and the butterfly is colored with blending markers (which is only my second time using them). I did this while chit chatting with a friend that came over.

A touch of ink stamp set with the tailor punch and dimensionals. Simple but so fun to make.

Wedding cards with envelopes and and alternate insides. I did a few different elements. Embossed background, popped sentiments with dimensional foam dots, and colored accents. The flowers are die cut, colored with blended markers and paper curled on the leaves to give it a natural look that pops off the page. The envelope and insides got some stamping love also.

Used the forever blossoms stamps and dies set and a vintage looking embossing folders.

Made a SIP (stamps, ink and paper only) card for a friends wedding today. I feel like it is simple but elegant. I used markers to color in the black outline of the flowers I stamped. The little sign is popped off the paper with foam dots (called dimensionals) but can always be just glued directly to the paper. I also stamped the envelope to make it special.

Stamping cards is a fun way to relax and create. You don’t have to be perfect, you just get to pick a design you like and learn how to recreate it.

Many friends have recently lost their furry family members. I created this simple card with a heart die cut out (Stitched so Sweetly), dog builder punch, and the Happy Tails stamp set. A little love for my friends and a relaxing time for me.

Painted labels dies on DSP. Simple but cute.

Don’t forget to give the inside of the card some love too. Even if you don’t like how it turns out, experiment with more or less and different colors. Sometimes it’s good to use scrap paper first before putting it on your actual cards. You won’t know until you try.

Hummingbird cards. I was playing with different ways to cut the original image. I used the cut cardstock from the front and used some of them inside the card with a stamp also.

Don’t forget to give the inside of the card some love too. I used the same image in multiple ways for the front. Be creative and try new things.

*Touch of Ink stamp set.

The same 6x6 DSP (designer series paper) made 4 simple cards. Add a small bow and some rhinestones with a stamp and call it a day. It took me about 1 hr to make all these cards in 1 go.

Depending on the way you cut a directional paper you can just rotate your card to be landscape or portrait.

I leave most cards without a sentiment (stamped words) so I can make it work for any occasion. You can stamp an image on the inside also to match, so the inside gets some love with a sentiment and stamp also.

A hodgepodge mixture of stamp sets to meet a challenge of making cards with people.
