Ignite Your Faith

*THE PLACE OF PASSION*

To serve God, and to serve him effectively, you do not need passion alone; you need God.

As Ministers unto God, it is indeed helpful to arm ourselves with the knowledge that we do not need to be filled with passion at all times to serve God, to continually walk before Him, and to continually serve his purposes.

Even as we seek to commit ourselves to a life long pursuit of following God and representing Him, it is wisdom to know that, depending on being passionate at all times is not a rock to build upon.

Having made a decision to serve God, you must buckle up yourself to remain steadfast come rain; come sun.

It is a lack of decision that makes many persons stop half way with God. A decision is indeed a deep thing, imbedded in the inside, heart and fiber of your being.

When you truly make a decision to follow God, you don't have to know everything ...all you need to know is He is with you and He would guide you.

You keep depending on Him for the revelations

You keep depending on Him for the insights

You keep depending on Him for the empowerment in the stormy and rainy days

Passion would not sustain you because a tired man lacks passion and you'd eventually enter into the state of being tired hundreds and hundreds of times.

You thus need an anchor...much more than being passionate.

An anchor in God !!!
That, no matter what happens, Lord, I'd be here.
I know you're a rewarder and you are not a liar.

Believe in your destiny because every other person would doubt you.

ARE YOU STILL DEPENDENT ???

Breaking off dependency on God leaves you vulnerable to yourself up for attacks.

The Bible says that the devil's mission is always to steal, kill and destroy giving us awareness that each time we find his activities around our lives, we are already aware of what is about to come.

So instead of being afraid of what would happen, it is much more better to tackle the main cause of the troubles.

We must also know that, as Christains, we do not defeat the devil by fighting against him, but our weapons against Him is the word of God.

2 Corinthians 10:4
[4](For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

When you are constantly depending on God, His word would never be far from you. I once taught that, the word of God is God's solution to a particular problem as revealed by God's spirit.

2 Corinthians 2:14b
[14]Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ

The word of God is the weapon which always guarantees victory

So, arm yourself with the Word of God, rebuke the devil and continue to march on in victory, triumph and increasing faith.

What would you do when it seems all your labours are unfruitful...

There are times when all that you have is given yet it seems it ends in fruitlessness

What do you do when all things seems not to work in favour of you

Would you quit working on being who God has destined you to be ??

Or, you'd rather chose to hold on in faith to the vision God has given you.

God would always show you a destination, but He would make you walk before him as he guides, teaches and changes you whilst you both journey to the place He has shown you

There are times you would have the feelings of hopelessness

It is okay to have those feelings and thoughts of mediocrity

It is okay to have those thoughts that you would not amount to anything of value...

BUT...

Here is the word of God which you can hold onto...

Psalms 27:14
[14]Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

The Bible gives us a description of what God would do to anyone who would take out the time to wait on him.

If you'd wait, be strong and be of good courage, He promises to strenghten your heart.

It's amazing, because a strenghtened heart would always find a way to get done what needs to be done.

A strenghtened heart would always find a way.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD

The fear of the Lord is birthed in a consciousness that, you are always before the Lord and all what you do, say, or think are open before him.

This shouldn't be seen as a reason to be afraid because God sees all of you and through you, it is a reason to come on to him so he would strenghten and help you.

The fear of the Lord keeps a man away from evil.

The fear of the Lord helps a man to remain useful to God.

There was a man called Joseph in the Bible, and he was an example of a man who feared God. We see that, the fear of God was the restricting force which was at work in him.

That force kept him from ;

• walking in the wrong path
• it kept Joseph from doing things which would be detrimental to his life and destiny

• it kept him from taking actions which would bring short term pleasures and long term pains

A man who possesses the fear of God is a man who has maintained a posture of walking consciously before God.

God wants us to walk before him in fear, reverence for him and in total submission to his will for our lives.

A man who walks steadfastly before the Lord would always be taught by the Lord and a man who is taught by God would demonstrate the wisdom of heaven, do the will of God, and be a wonder to his world.

I'm sure you'd want to be a man that possesses the fear of God

THIS IS INSIGHTFUL...

There is a lot of intentionality about the month of August

It is a month specially ordained for us to walk into favour

With God and with men.

There is no amount of labour a man can engage which would ultimately lead to a life of purpose, fulfilment and be of Kingdom relevance without the help, support and mercy of God which is embedded in a grace called FAVOUR

There is thus a need to engage intentionally so as to enable an individual to come into the fullness of the possibilities available when this grace is activated.

There are various areas which must be engaged in order for the grace Favour to be activated in the life of a man.

1. You must understand the ministry of prayer.
All favour comes from heaven, and without asking, a man would recieve nothing. It must be noted that prayers is not a platform for asking alone, but it is a platform where which our wishes can be straightened to his will.

2. You must understand the ministry of men.
Men are a very vital resource with which God has blessed men with. Sounds funny right ?
When you understand that there is so much your neighbour can do for you, then you can be able to position yourself for the activation of God's favour in your life.

There's a whole lot of things available for you, all you need to do is to lift up your eyes
