Happy Solstice/ Full Moon!
In my classes this week we’ll be celebrating the summer solstice by honoring the four directions: South, West, North, and East.
South represents Summer: We’ll be setting our Summer intentions and asking our spirit guides to point us toward expanding into our true purpose.
West represents Fall: Fall is the direction of sunsets and is all about release. In the medicine wheel Fall is associated with the transformative process of letting go.
North represents our Winter season as well as the midnight hour. This is an introspective time of stillness and reflection.
East represents Spring and new beginnings. What has our journey this year from the Spring Solstice until now taught us and prepared us for this Summer season?

Outdoor Yoga is back!
Dive into the exciting world of arm-balances with me! By learning the essential actions and movements of the poses, students can explore these more challenging options with confidence and grace. We will focus on prepping the body, alignment in the poses, and possible modifications. Students should have taken at least 20 classes and be free of wrist or shoulder injuries.

Have you heard of Tapping?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a style of mediation that involves tapping your fingers on various acupressure points along the body. This self-tapping calms the amygdala (the area responsible for our stress response) and brings you into the present moment.
Try it with me. Come into a comfortable seat and notice your breath. Begin to tap on these 9 areas, one at a time. The frequency and pressure of the taps are totally up to you. For smaller spots use one finger, and for larger spots use three to four. While tapping on each area, choose a phrase to say or think that corresponds to an issue in your life you’d like to resolve. I’ll use the example of stress:
-I am relaxed
-I feel more tranquil everyday
-I am inviting more joy into my life
-I feel as though things are improving
-I deserve to unwind and recharge
-I release stress from my body
-I choose ease
-I release anxiety now
-I feel calmness flowing through me
Once you’ve completed your tapping meditation, close your eyes and notice the sensations in your body. Breathe deeply and send yourself gratitude for taking care of yourself in this way.
