I decided to go for it and throw up a 30% off everything in both my Etsy and eBay stores for the solar eclipse through tomorrow!

I don't do above 20% off often and it always makes me nervous when I do; probably cause I know I could be making more on things but my desire to sell things outweighs my desire to sit on things right now. LOL

We also have an international order going to Canada!

April decided to come in with bang and after the entirety of March I'm okay with this. In fact, I ENCORAGE It 😅

Seriously though, we've had some great full price sales this week without any sales running in either shop. I am thinking of running a single day 30% off sale for the eclipse tomorrow to see what happens.

Anyone else doing anything for the eclipse tomorrow?

I think I have a pillow problem...

In my defense all but 1 was half off so I was obviously forced to buy them. That's how that works 😅

It amazes me just how MUCH getting new merchandise motivates me. Most of the stuff I bought yesterday has already been logged, cleaned, and photographed. Now it just needs to be pre-packed and listed which I'll be working on throughout the week!

Today is a terrible weather day (it's STILL snowing) so I'll be working most of the day 🙌

March was a pretty rough month with me being down the first half with strep and then it just being generally slow sale wise. While we didn't hit the major goal for the month I'm thankful March ended up being not as bad as I originally thought it was going to be so I'll take it!

Guys! I think I may have cracked something. I took a bunch of pictures of jewelry knowing I was going to be couch bound for a few days to a week, got myself situated to list on the couch, and I've been knocking out DOUBLE of what I was listing.

Some days it's all jewelry, some days it's half hard goods, half jewelry but I went from 5 to 6 listings a day to almost 11 to 12 some days!

This definitely opened my eyes to the possibilities of couch listing even when I AM feeling good. I'm gonna have to find more smalls I enjoy listing 🤔

I don't know if anyone has heard but Mercari just dropped some BIG news about their fees and new TOS and people are going CRAZY!

At this point I'm really unsure of what I want to do about it; it's my least performing platform (I couldn't tell you the last time I got a sale on there) so I'm contemplating do I continue at all or do I shift from cross listing everything to only things under 1lb? 🤔

Do you sell on Mercari and if so, what are your thoughts on the new changes?

I'm honestly shocked I almost maxed out this week's post because this week has been SLOW. Granted this was an off sale week so no sales were running in either shop but still; March has just been a rough month all around.

I'm grateful we had 2 big sales though which definitely helped the numbers. Which brings me to that last pin sale. I spent $30 on it at an estate sale and I put in another $25 to fix 2 missing seed pearls for a total of $55 all in.

I listed it for $375 literally 3 days ago. Did I want to accept an offer for over $100 off? No. But I DID accept it because I need that money this month. I didn't lose any money and it was a quick 3x my investment so I still count that as a win 🙌

I'm really determined to try to get through the back stock of inventory I have piled up; it's been hard saying no to sourcing (full disclosure: I went to an estate sale last Saturday for that much needed dopamine hit 😅) but at the same time it's SUPER motivating challenge myself.

Plus the fact I just bought $300 worth of shipping and other supplies for the business yesterday is a great deterrent for putting any more money on the credit card. LOL

It's been slow but things have picked up a little since I started listing consistently again.

We had 2 last minute sales yesterday thanks to my St. Patrick's Day sale ending and one of them was $100+ sale so that was very nice!

I'll be running another, higher % off sale for Easter next week but in the mean time I'm trying to list, list, list to get navk in the good graces of the algorithm gods.

It's been a hot minute since we had some solds! Between my 3 week Florida vacation and then being sick for nearly a week and a half It's been....well, it's just been 😅

Unfortunately I think we've also hit quite a slow down because even with running sales in both stores the cha-chings have been far and few in between (I'm seeing similar feedback from fellow sellers as well).

I'm trying my best to make the most of the slow down though and I've been really re-evaluate things; I think some much needed changes will be coming soon.

I'm FINALLY on the mend after getting some stronger meds this past Monday. It definitely feels good to be able to do some work again after nearly a month away but It's still a slow process as the steroids I'm taking flare my bladder condition. Hey, lesser of two evils; at least I can eat food again 🤷‍♀️

This Wednesday is all about that Florida sourcing! Everything you see was picked up while I was on vacation. I didn't get to do a ton of sourcing but it ended up being the perfect amount because our car was bursting at the seams on the way home 😅

I'm still hanging in there but man, it's not been a great week. I waited too long to go to immediate care last week (positive strep culture) so I think the infection became a little too much for the 5 days of antibiotics they originally gave me so I unfortunately had to suffer through the weekend but I got in bright and early this morning to my doctor's office where they gave me heavier duty antibiotics and steroids to bring down the pain and inflammation.

I'm still probably going to be gone a little bit longer until the meds start working but I wanted to at least let you guys know I'm still alive!

Funny story. My partner learned how to pack up solds while I'm on vacation so he packed up these 4 all by himself! Since he packed them I figured I'd drop them off at the post office.

Only thing is I forgot yesterday was a holiday so those packages traveled with us from Illinois all the way to Tennessee 🤣

Makes for a fun Mailstack post though! Peep that sunrise through the trees and that incredibly beautiful post office in downtown Chattanooga!

My family and I are officially on the road to Florida as of 6am this morning! Driving from Rockford, IL down to Delray Beach, FL which as you can see according to Google Maps is a 20ish hour drive.

I've already taken my first pain pill of the trip 🤣

This week has been NUTS! And after 2 slow weeks I'm incredibly grateful, especially since I'm leaving on vacation for two weeks bright and early tomorrow morning.

Who knew a 14% off sale for Valentine's Day would be such a hit! AND we have 4 more orders that need to be packed up before I leave.

I'm also happy that some older inventory has been selling; there's nothing quite like getting an offer on something that's been sitting for awhile. I've never hit accept faster 🤣
