This last Mother’s Day live calligraphy event was such a special one. Thanks to Sonya for having me in your shop, seriously the cutest gift shop in South Bay.

In case you didn’t know, I was gone for a bit to make a tiny human! His name is Avery and he’s now 2.5mos and keeping me real busy, tired and so so happy (as he’s napping on me rn🥰)
It sure feels good to reunite with my nib and write again. Grateful for team for always coming through in supporting what I do since day 1! 💞

Wedding day-of prints I did awhile back - Welcome sign, bar sign and table numbers. A+I had a white and navy theme going so I carried that into all of their print designs.
Client splurged on envelope addressing and went with digital prints for the rest of the wedding goods (which I’m starting to love doing because of Procreate). All is good however a client chooses to plan with budgeting.

Today marks 2 years of officially starting Kylie Yoshida Calligraphy. I remember feeling so hopeful and invigorated when I booked my first big gig and said to myself, “Wow, I want to keep doing this!” And so I did! Some days I still can’t believe, I started it all and made it this far working with retail brands, bespoke stationers, small businesses and clients from all walks of life. It is truly humbling that people want to work with me and appreciates my craft that I started as a self-taught newly found passion. Thank you for all your support no matter how big or small during these past couple rollercoaster years. And I’ll keep doing what I do, baby steps! 🥰🥳

Navy calligraphy on white envelopes have been quite popular it seems and I’m not mad about it! Bride’s mother went with a traditional route - Outer envelopes with mailing address and a protective layer for the invitations; Inner envelopes addressed with guests invited.

🍊Last minute calligraphy🍊Here’s what I can do. Sometimes when you just need a little zhuzh fast. Things can be done with a quick turnaround (2-4 days):

- hang tags
Rush fees will be advised. Local to LA/South Bay. Project minimum $200. All handwritten - no printing. Have your final final list ready, materials on hand or use available house stocks.

Problem solver; Best Uber Eats; Protector & ONLY man allowed. (Mentor, support system, tough love expert, weekend alarm clock, party pooper) These were a few of the best definition of my dad to me growing up.

My dad is my problem solver. He’s nifty, he talks his way out of anything for us, he may have finished a few of my school projects when I threw my tantrums. He always, always, come through with my fav dish for lunch. And every boy is a friend until I got married. Super drastic, I know. So here’s to my daddypoo, the first man I ever love, always and forever. ❤️ Happy Father’s Day!
