I would like to introduce myself.
Just call me Teacher Tess. Since a child I have been a reader. During the course of my life I must have read thousands of books, and anything is possible is what I have learned. I belong to the LLL School of thought which is Life Long Learner. I wanted to know everything about this world we live in.
Curiosity will take you far in life, and it has brought me to teaching.
Having driven my friends and family crazy with my questions and practical advice I was forever giving them, not realising that everyone thinks differently and responds to different teaching methods the only thing to do was to become a teacher.
I fulfilled part of my purpose by writing for the last 10 years, mainly HOW-To articles on everything possible. How to heal yourself through self hypnosis for David Godot, an imminent psychiatrist and the owner and founder of a site for Chicago Psychiatrists.
I loved the help yourself articles as I felt I was really supplying a need to people, David was trying alternative therapies as he believed in giving his patients a choice of therapies as the world was going green and chemical treatments were not the best option for many patients.
When I stopped writing for him, I lost my incentive to write, but not my wish to help others. How could I best use my god given talents to help the most people I could and also teach people about saving the earth, their environment, and their worlds.
So I procrastinated for a while, played Junes Journey, a detective game online, , where I met a Colombian friend named Maria Del Carmen. We connected instantly and I learned she was a qualified Tesol teacher in Colombia, teaching English to students. Going to their homes and teaching them. She was very offended when I quizzed her on what it takes to be a teacher, then when she realised that I too wanted to teach, but online, she gave me so much help and encouraged me. She did her training in the USA, I did mine online through a UK company, who were fantastic. I just knew, once I started that this is where I was meant to be, and am so fulfilled being able to teach the world, literally to Listen, Read, Write and Speak fluent English.
I had come home. This is what I was born to do, and if you let me teach you English, I will help you define and find your purpose, and be as fulfilled as I am, in whatever field you want to go into.
If you are already working I can teach you how to Listen for understanding, Speak fluently to be understood, Read to have comprehension of what you are reading, and Write English like a pro. This is my aim to give my all for my students welfare and understanding of the English Language.,
Nothing pleases a teachers heart than to see her students excel at what they are taught.
