1. Google-backed Mobvoi has launched the new TicWatch 3 Pro smartwatch and among its many features is the fact that it's one of the first smartwatches to come with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor

2. Canon EOS C70 has been launched as the latest model in the company's cinema EOS camera range. The new model comes with Canon RF lens mount and is compatible with a new Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x that enables it to work with a range of EF lens series. The EOS C70 also offers 4K/ 120p video recording using a CMOS DGO (Dual Gain Output) sensor. Additionally, Canon has provided Direct Touch Control function along with vertical shooting options to help cinematographer and videographers quickly change their recording settings.

3. Twitter says it's working on bringing its "read the article before you retweet it" prompt to all users "soon." The company began testing the prompt in June, which shows up when people go to retweet a story they haven't clicked through to actually read.

Twitter says its motivation is to "help promote informed discussion." Headlines often don't tell the whole story and can even be actively misleading. Encouraging people to at least read the article they're sharing seems like a smart way to promote media literacy and stop some of the knee-jerk reactions that can make misinformation viral.

1. The upcoming OnePlus 8T will support 65W fast charging via the company's new Warp Charge 65 standard, OnePlus confirmed today. The company is advertising that you'll be able to get "a day's power in 15 minutes" using the new technology, and it specifically says a 15-minute charge will restore 58 percent of the battery's power, with a full charge of the phone's 4,500mAh battery taking just 39 minutes.

2. It seems every single company has a cloud gaming service these days. Microsoft has Project xCloud, there's Google Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, and probably others I can't remember right now. Truly, Apple seems to be the only one without a cloud gaming service which is why it's more surprising that it's not allowing others to exist on the App Store, but I digress. Today, Amazon joins that list of companies with its announcement of a cloud gaming service called 'Luna'.

3. The "next generation of Echo" devices all look like spheres. It's a stark departure from the original cylindrical smart speaker design that was softened and covered in fabric over time.

1. On 6th October 2010, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger launched Instagram. The photo-sharing app became an instant hit, garnered over 100,000 signups within the first week, and eventually got acquired by social media behemoth Facebook. To celebrate the company's 10th birthday, Instagram is reportedly working to let users change the app icons.

As spotted by app developer Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram may add at least 11 optional app icons. The icons include Classic, Classic 2, Candy, Seafoam, Pride, Lux, Dark, Light, and Designer. These new icons are coming to the Instagram app on Android phones running Oreo and newer.

2. Google Maps will soon include information on COVID-19 spread in states, counties, and some cities. Toggling on the "COVID" layer in the app will show the seven-day average number of confirmed cases in each area per 100,000 people. Areas of the map will be color-coded based on case rate, and a label shows if cases are going up or down. The feature will roll out on Android and iOS this week.

1. Though Xiaomi is set to unveil a slew of new loT products at its 'Smarter Living' event next week, the company has launched a new 'Mi Smart LED Bulb' in India today. This unveiling happens merely a couple of hours after the Mi Power Bank 3i launch earlier this morning. It is the second Smart LED Bulb launched by Xiaomi in the country but this is more suited to Indian home needs.

2. Having reached the top of the consumer wireless market with attractive pricing and loads of freebies, Reliance Jio is now eyeing the lucrative corporate market with new postpaid plans. The company, on Tuesday, announced a revamped postpaid wireless portfolio with a slew of new plans starting at Rs. 399. Marketed as 'Postpaid Plus', the new plans come with a host of additional benefits, including complimentary subscription to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar.

3. Steam has added a big update to its experimental news hub feature: the ability to actually browse gaming news from a list of publications curated by Steam's Curator system. The first collection of sources includes "top sites serving players across seven languages," the company wrote in a blog post. And the whole thing is free.

Obviously, the list of publications and sources is customizable, and alongside articles and blurbs players will be able to view videos and other media directly in Steam's hub. The idea is that the hub should be totally personalized, so you'll have control over what sources you see (while also, of course, being able to discover new outlets you might enjoy).

3. OnePlus started teasing its next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 8T, with an advert starring 'Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. during IPL break time over the weekend. The Chinese giant cannot seem to control its excitement and has revealed the launch date for the OnePlus 8T.

The OnePlus 8T will be unveiled on 14th October at 7:30 PM IST (3:00 PM BST or 10:00 AM EDT), as you can see in the official tweet attached below. The launch date is in line with recent leaks. The company is using the hashtag ' to promote its new flagship phone this time around.

1. Earlier this year, Nvidia-owned ARM announced its new high performance core for mobile processors. The Cortex A78 comes with a 22% performance gain over the Cortex A77 that's used in the Snapdragon 865, and offers 50 percent higher energy savings as well. However, along with that, ARM also unveiled its Cortex X custom program, and its first custom chip, the Cortex X1.

2. Cloudflare has partnered with the Internet Archive to expand the scope of its Always Online service. Thanks to this partnership, Always Online-enabled websites will now fetch a copy from the Internet Archive in case the original host is unavailable.

3. Google is rewriting its payments app, Google Pay, to ensure that it works across a wide variety of payment platforms, infrastructure and operating systems. As part of the plan, the company says that the app will now be built using the company's Flutter Ui toolkit that will enable it to be deployed across Android and iOS.

4. We have been hearing rumors about Samsung's plans to launch a new budget camera-centric Galaxy F-series to join the existing Galaxy M- and A-series in India. Well, the rumors have proven true as the company has confirmed the existence of the Galaxy F-series on social media today.

The official Samsung India account took to Twitter to tease the new Galaxy F-series, which will make its debut very soon. 1. We have been hearing about a possible official online presence from Apple in India since back in 2017. Then last month we got more reports from Bloomberg mentioning that Apple will be launching its online store in India in September, and turns out that was accurate. The Cupertino giant has put out a press release announcing that Apple's online store will go live in India from September 23.

2. Sony has expanded its noise-cancelling headphone portfolio in India with the launch of the WH-1000XM4 as an update to the two-year-old WH-1000XM3. It is priced at Rs. 29,990 and, is available for purchase on a whole host of online and offline stores across the country, including Amazon, Sony retail stores, major multi-brand electronics stores, and Sony's online shopping portal shopatsc.com.

3. Realme is set to unveil the Narzo 20 series on 21st September in India. The series will include the Narzo 20A, Narzo 20, and Narzo 20 Pro. The Chinese giant has revealed today that it will also unveil its second-gen Android skin, Realme UI 2.0, at the event next week.

1. Amazon today announced the launch of its smart plug in India. Originally announced in 2018, the Alexa enabled device enables users to control compatible gadgets and appliances through voice commands.

2. Google on Tuesday announced its own video conferencing hardware that it claims will help organizations stay connected seamlessly. Called 'Series One', the meeting room kits are developed in association with Lenovo exclusively for Google Meet and, come with built-in Google Al that will enable people to join meetings just by using voice commands. The set includes 4K cameras, audio bars, remote controls, mic pods, and of course, the core compute system that runs it all.

3. The company has unveiled its successor, the Poco X3, in Europe and it looks like Indian Poco fans won't have to wait for long as well. Poco X3 has been announced to launch in India on 22nd September.

4. GoPro Hero 9 Black has been launched. It's GoPro's flagship action camera for 2020 and features a higher resolution sensor, larger battery, removable lens cover, and a front-facing colour LCD display. The new camera takes the top place in GoPro's lineup, while the existing Hero 8 Black should eventually move down in price, followed by the Hero 7 Black that will now serve as the entry model.

With TikTok out of commission in India and faced with an uncertain future in the US, YouTube has launched its own short-format video platform that it hopes will be able to fill the void created by the Chinese-owned viral video app. Called YouTube Shorts, the new service will allow users to create short videos of up to 15 seconds and upload it to the platform.
