Hello everyone! I have some very exciting news to share!

1. A physical release of Communication Established on CD will be made available in March! If all goes well, it'll be available in music stores throughout Canada. For anyone looking to purchase a copy online, I'll be selling them through Amazon! Posters and other merch will be available around the same time with artwork made by

2. Production of my next album has begun, featuring the Yamaha MU128 from 1998! This album won't be out for quite some time, but I want you guys to know that there won't be such a long delay between albums like there was last time 😅

3. I've started doing retro gaming videos to help attract a larger audience to my YouTube channel. My first video in this new series is a playthrough of DOOM 3 on the original Xbox (part one will be up later today). Since my music fits the style of retro video games, I'm confident that this will help me gain more listeners 😃👍

4. I forgot to post about this yesterday, but January 11th was my 23rd birthday! Hopefully as I continue to age, my hair doesn't fall out 😂 (it's already thin enough as is 🤣)

That's right! I'm starting to play retro games on the official DCG Retrowave YouTube channel! I'll primarily be focusing on OG Xbox titles, but I will occasionally play games on other consoles. It’s been 20 years since the release of my all-time favorite video game! While it certainly isn’t perfect, Sonic Heroes was the game that introduced me to the Sonic franchise, Sega games/consoles, and console gaming in general. Despite its flaws, I find the overall experience to be very enjoyable even in 2023/2024. I hope to make a video on it in the near future and share more about my memories with this title!

These are the ten songs that will be featured on Communication Established when it releases on December 31st! Signal Lost and Moonlit District were obviously meant to appear here and Restart has been updated to fit the Roland SC-88 rather than use soundfonts. The seven new tracks are easily some of my best MIDI compositions ever! I have a lot planned for this release including CDs and more music videos (with a much higher budget provided that the album gets enough attention online :D).

Expect to see a proper video about the release on my YouTube channel within the next few days. I meant to have it out sooner, but I literally just finished the final recording two hours ago so I’ve been pretty busy (and got literally no sleep last night :D)

“COMMUNICATION ESTABLISHED” BY DCG RETROWAVE

That’s right! The release of Signal Lost was just the beginning of what I have in store for the end of 2023! After four years, the second DCG Retrowave album is finally ready to be released! Unlike Sunset Drive which was very basic and used soundfonts, this new album has way more depth and utilizes legendary MIDI synths such as the Roland SC-55 and SC-88. I’ll have more information to share about this release soon and a YouTube video discussing this album will be up within the next few days!

Also, fans of Sunset Drive will be pleased to know that I have something special planned for that album in early 2024. For now, let’s just say that Sunset Drive was never truly finished and I want it to live up to my new standards for MIDI music 😉

I’ve got myself a new phone to use exclusively for DCG Retrowave social media content and my future photo/video shoots!

This is the new Motorola Edge 2023! My previous secondary phone was the 2022 model, but I didn’t find the cameras to be good enough to substitute my iPhone 13 mini. However, the new model has been upgraded significantly in this regard! The last five photos were shot on the Edge! All of these were taken in the one area of my apartment that’s well-lit at night, but I’ll definitely get some more impressive photos with it in the near future 😃👍

We're getting super close to the release of "Signal Lost" which means we're getting very close to the announcement of the new DCG Retrowave album! For those of you who have listening since the pre-Roland Sound Canvas era of my music, you may remember "Restart," a single I released back in 2020. This track came out just one month before I got the Roland SC-88 which helped me improve my music significantly over the past few years. This song has now been remastered for the SC-88 and will be appearing on the new album (I really wanna share the title, but you'll have to wait until the 30th of this month for that :D)

I also wanted to share some new photos with you guys! The first one was taken during the photoshoot I did for Moonlit District last year, but I forgot to upload it until now! The second one is an illustration by DCG Vaporwave (Elysha ) that was based on a photo she took during the filming of the Signal Lost music video. Finally, the last photo is my new profile pic that was taken during the photo shoot for Signal Lost back in May :D

Hello everyone. I am typing this message on a modernish PC. It is a nice PC that does very nice PC things. I want to go do other PC things on my favorite retro DOS PC, but part of my brain is telling me to continue sitting in front of this 1920x1200 Dell LCD from 2008 and stare at my own page which I just logged into so I could finally update the page description because it still said that Sunset Drive was coming soon even though it was released like.....many many minutes ago I think???

I've heard my own songs so many times that I could quote their lyrics backwards in my sleep...if my songs had lyrics, which they don't...probably.

You know, this box of 10 Memorex floppy disks I have next to me is still sealed. I'd open it, but these aren't your ordinary floppies. They are COOL DISKS according to the colorful 2005 packaging. I'm not exactly sure what makes these DISKS so COOL, but I feel like they deserve only the finest 3.5 inch floppy disk drive so I must make sure that I handle them with extreme care.

Of course, rewritable CD-RW's are like the best thing since...the best thing that came before that...if such a thing existed. They make my life so much easier when I want to copy fun and desirable software goodies to my favorite DOS PC. Speaking of which, I still need to turn it on and type in "CD PLUTONIA" followed by "DOOM2" and then BOOM!!!...no wait that's a source port. What I mean is that those commands which will be typed on a PS/2 keyboard I paid $8.00 CDN for shall grant me the ability to suffer at the hands of many, much, numerous, and other synonyms for "TOTALLY NOT ENOUGH!!!" Arch-viles.

So basically......yeah.
