Hello Everyone! We hope this post finds you safe and well! First, we would like to thank everyone who has supported Aether Theatre Collective's journey so far. We have been working behind the scenes since our stream of Solaris Theatre Company's production of Orphans, and are excited to share some cool and exciting news with you soon! Starting us off, we are thrilled to officially go live with our website! We will also be formally introducing our team members here shortly. Our mobile site is a little wonky at the moment, so we recommend viewing it on desktop view for the time being. The link can be found below, or on our page, so check it out when you can! We are now excited to introduce the Director for Orphans: Dan Roszelle from the Solaris Theatre Company! Some more about him below!

Dan Roszelle is the Executive Artistic Director and co-founder of the Solaris Theatre Company. He is making his directorial debut with Orphans. He is extremely grateful for the opportunity, and
the cast and team behind this production. He is from Waxhaw, North Carolina. His previous credits include: The Tempest (Prospero), Dog Sees God (Beethoven), and Love’s Labour’s Lost
(Dumain).

Rounding out the cast of Orphans: George Brown in the role of Harold! A little bit about him below!

George H. Brown has worked in the professional and university theatre for over 30 years filling a gamut of positions from Director to Actor to Fight Choreographer. He has directed over 120 productions in theatres across the U.S., Caribbean and Europe including The Tempest, Cyrano De Bergerac, and the world premiere of Smile Natives, Smile presented at Carifesta on St. Kitts. Most recently, he has directing Hamlet and King Lear for the School of Stage and Screen at WCU. As an actor, George has performed in dozens of Shakespearian productions across the U.S. including As You Like It, Henry V, The Tempest, and Two Gentlemen of Verona. His voiceover/narration work is incorporated into the Constitution Museum in Washington D.C. and the National WWI Museum in Kansas City, MO. As Fight Choreographer, having trained with David Leong, Joseph Martinez and Drew Frasier, George has staged fights and battle sequences for numerous productions including Romeo and Juliet for Theatre Koleso in Russia, As You Like It for the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, and Sueño at StageWest. George serves as the Dean of the David Orr Belcher College of Fine and Performing Arts At WCU. He holds an MFA Degree in Directing from Penn State and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University.

Now to introduce our second member of the cast: Caleb Spainhour in the role Treat! Some more about him below!

Caleb Spainhour is an Executive Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Solaris Theatre Company. He is currently pursuing his BFA in Musical Theatre at Western Carolina University. Some of his favorite credits include: Urinetown (Bobby Strong), Spamalot (Dennis/Sir Galahad) at Priscilla Beach Theater (upcoming Summer 2021), A Ghost of Christmas Past: The Radio Drama (Fred) and Translation of Likes (The Zealot). He would like to thank his parents, Jordan and Robin, his family, partner, and dear friends for always loving, believing in, and always being so supportive of his dreams and passions. Caleb is extremely excited to be apart of such a fantastic artistic team and to be sharing Solaris’ initiative production of Orphans with all of you! Thank you and ENJOY!

Starting us off, here's our first cast member introduction: Justice Largin in the role of Phillip! A little about him below!

Justice Largin grew up in Waxhaw, NC. He began his theatrical training at Cuthbertson High School where his favorite roles included: Hungry Townsperson from Elephants Graveyard and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. He is now continuing his training at Roosevelt University in Chicago where he performed in American Songbook. He’s been blessed to come across lots of talent and inspirational teachers in his time at Roosevelt. Theatre is Justice’s passion and he couldn’t see hisself living a happy life doing anything else. He has enjoyed working on this project with such an amazing group of individuals and can’t wait to share it with all of you.
