Training Tip: Management is the key to changing/preventing behaviors!
Maverick loves spending time in his exercise pen during playtime breaks!
If you have a puppy or young dog, look into getting an exercise pen to set up as a comfy, cozy area for your pup’s down time. Letting your puppy have free roam of the house can mean that your dog can find all kinds of trouble to get into! Not only does an exercise pen keep your dog safe, but it teaches them how to self-soothe, settle down and relax.
Exercise pens allow your dog to be free to move around, play with toys and chew on appropriate items when you can’t keep an eye on them 24/7. These can easily be purchased from Amazon, Chewy and Petsmart.

Ruby the Portuguese Water Dog has been working with Game of Bones to address her jumping behaviors as well as her separation anxiety. Her mom says she's doing great and there have been lots of improvements. We love forward progress!

Why Pick Game of Bones?
“Game of Bones” is a pet sitting and dog walking business in Central New York. I opened my business in December 2019 and provide a wide variety of care. All care is done in your home so your pets don’t have to go through the stress of boarding while you’re gone.
My experience as a pet sitter began in 2015 when I moved to Nashville, TN and worked for a pet sitting company called “Petagree”. I worked there for three years and learned a lot! After moving to Central New York, I began working at local Doggy Daycare facilities. I work part-time as a kennel attendant and, while wonderful for some dogs, I can see that other dogs are just not a good fit for boarding. So, I decided to start my own business to give people an alternative to boarding their dogs in a strange facility where they may experience anxiety and stress. Each dog is different and has different needs. As a pet sitter and dog walker, I make it my job to meet those needs on the dog’s home turf!
In addition to being a pet sitter, I am a pet parent. I have two cats and two dogs whom I adore very much. My dogs enjoy hikes, learning new tricks and trips to the dog park. My cats just love curling up next to the fireplace and snoring very loudly!
